Navy defeats Lehigh 79-54

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) Austin Benigni had 18 points in Navy's 79-54 win against Lehigh on Wednesday night.

Benigni added six assists for the Midshipmen (8-14, 5-4 Patriot League). Jordan Pennick scored 17 points and added 10 rebounds. Carnegie Johnson shot 4 of 4 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line to finish with 13 points.

Edouard Benoit led the Mountain Hawks (7-13, 2-7) in scoring, finishing with 15 points and two blocks. Tyler Whitney-Sidney added 13 points for Lehigh. Hank Alvey finished with 12 points and two blocks.

Navy took the lead with 7:56 remaining in the first half and did not give it up. The score was 29-22 at halftime, with Aidan Kehoe racking up eight points. Pennick scored a team-high 17 points in the second half.

Both teams play on Saturday. Navy hosts Bucknell and Lehigh travels to play Holy Cross.
