  • Lakers' Deandre Ayton: Perfect from field vs. Toronto

Ayton tallied 25 points (10-10 FG, 5-6 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one block over 33 minutes during the Lakers' 110-93 win over the Raptors on Sunday.

Ayton was perfect from the field during Sunday's win, with his lone miss coming from the charity stripe. He didn't seem bothered by a left knee injury that kept him out of Saturday's loss to the Trail Blazers, grabbing a game-high 13 boards en route to his 16th double-double of the season (and third over his last four outings). Ayton has averaged 11.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.1 blocks over 29.1 minutes per game since Jan. 2.

  • Brandon Miller SG | CHA

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Sinks four triples in Sunday's win

Miller logged 23 points (8-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during the Hornets' 110-87 win over the Nuggets on Sunday.

Miller scored 18 of his game-high 23 points through the first three quarters of Sunday's game before sitting for the entirety of the fourth due to the Hornets' commanding lead. It was Miller's 11th game connecting on at least four triples and his 14th 20-plus-point performance of the season. In nine games since Jan. 2, he has averaged 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 3.4 threes, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals over 29.4 minutes per game.

  • Deni Avdija SG | POR

Trail Blazers' Deni Avdija: Drops 30 points in return

Avdija finished Sunday's 117-110 win over the Kings with 30 points (10-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and one block over 32 minutes.

Avdija was given the green light to return Sunday from a three-game absence due to a lower-back strain. The injury didn't appear to bother the sixth-year pro, who led both teams in scoring while recording his 12th 30-point-plus performance of the season. Portland doesn't play its next game until Thursday against Miami, so Avdija will have additional time to recover ahead of that contest.

  • Raptors' Collin Murray-Boyles: Quickly ruled out Sunday

Murray-Boyles (thumb) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Lakers, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.

Murray-Boyles aggravated his left thumb injury during the third quarter of Sunday's game, and his night will end with 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks over 25 minutes. It's a sizable blow to the Raptors' frontcourt that is already without Jakob Poeltl (back), and Murray-Boyles will continue to get tests to determine the severity of his injury. Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jonathan Mogbo should see more minutes off the bench for the rest of Sunday's game in Murray-Boyles' absence.

  • Raptors' Collin Murray-Boyles: Goes to locker room

Murray-Boyles went to the locker room during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Lakers due to a left thumb sprain and is questionable to return, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.

Murray-Boyles has been dealing with a lingering left thumb issue, and the injury appeared to be aggravated when Luka Doncic attempted to strip the ball out of the former's hands, per Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca. Sunday marked Murray-Boyles' ninth consecutive start, and with Jakob Poeltl (back) sidelined, Sandro Mamukelashvili should see a sizeable uptick in minutes off the bench for as long Murray-Boyles is out of the game.

  • Pelicans' Trey Murphy: Team-high 21 points in loss

Murphy finished Sunday's 119-110 loss to Houston with 21 points (7-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block over 35 minutes.

Murphy scored all 21 of his points through the first three quarters and managed to finish as the Pelicans' leading scorer despite being blanked in the fourth frame. The fifth-year pro has scored at least 21 points in eight consecutive games, and over that span he has connected on 51.3 percent of his field-goal attempts (and 40.8 percent of his three-point tries) while averaging 29.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 5.0 threes and 1.3 steals over 36.9 minutes per game.

  • Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Efficient effort in Sunday's loss

Williamson recorded 20 points (9-17 FG, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block over 30 minutes during the Pelicans' 119-110 loss to the Rockets on Sunday.

It was another efficient shooting night for Williamson, who finished Sunday's game as the Pelicans' second-leading scorer behind Trey Murphy (21 points). Williamson has scored at least 20 points in six of his last seven outings, and over that span he has connected on 67.3 percent of his field-goal attempts while averaging 22.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.3 steals over 31.0 minutes per game.

  • Steven Adams C | HOU

Rockets' Steven Adams: Diagnosed with ankle sprain

Head coach Ime Udoka told reporters after Sunday's 119-110 win over the Pelicans that Adams was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle, Kelly Iko of Yahoo Sports reports.

"Sprained ankle. Lots of swelling already. Nothing broken," Udoka relayed to reporters following Sunday's win. Adams could put barely any weight after spraining his left ankle early in the first quarter and had to be helped to the locker room. He'll undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury, but if he were to miss extended time, then Clint Capela would be in line to step into a larger role off the bench.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Logs five steals in Sunday's win

Sengun posted 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, five steals and one block over 33 minutes during Houston's 119-110 win over New Orleans on Sunday.

Sengun tied a career high with five steals during Sunday's win and finished as the Rockets' second-leading scorer behind Jabari Smith (32 points). In his five outings since returning from a three-game absence due to a right ankle injury, Sengun has averaged 20.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks over 33.9 minutes per game.

  • Jock Landale C | MEM

Grizzlies' Jock Landale: Big game in return to second unit

Landale ended with 21 points (9-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 23 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 126-109 win over the Magic in London.

Returning to the second unit after six straight starts, Landale didn't miss a step and put together his best scoring effort since Nov. 24. The 30-year-old center has played at least 20 minutes in all eight January games for Memphis with Zach Edey (ankle) and Brandon Clarke (calf) both in street clothes, a span where Landale's averaging 12.8 points, 8.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.1 combined steals and blocks.
