  • Kimani Vidal RB | LAC

Chargers' Kimani Vidal: Hardly utilized in rookie campaign

Vidal finished his rookie campaign with 43 carries for 155 yards and an additional five receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown across 10 games.

The 2024 sixth-round pick was considered a possible deep sleeper entering the year given the uncertain availability of oft-injured backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, but the imported Ravens duo were relatively healthy throughout the year, relegating Vidal to a healthy inactive at portions of the season. Even when the rookie had opportunities to flourish due to various injuries to the aforementioned duo, Vidal only saw six or more carries twice throughout the season and played just over 21 offensive snaps twice throughout the entire campaign. The Chargers clearly prioritize multiple rotational backs and depth given the offensive emphasis of the position, but it's unclear if Vidal will be a part of the team's larger goals despite Dobbins entering the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and Edwards due a $3 million bonus entering his age-30 season.

  • Deonte Harty WR | BAL

Ravens' Deonte Harty: Full go for Wednesday

Harty (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Harty was designated to return from the Ravens' injured reserve list Jan. 7 but didn't play in the team's wild-card win over the Steelers, despite logging two full practice sessions before the game. The 27-year-old practiced in full again Wednesday, suggesting a return to the field is in the near future. Harty must still be added to Baltimore's active roster in order to play in Sunday's divisional round matchup against the Bills.

  • Hassan Haskins RB | LAC

Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Clear depth back during season

Haskins finished the 2024-25 campaign with 34 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns across 120 offensive snaps. He also caught three passes for 49 yards and an additional score during the season.

Haskins was reliably the team's third back behind J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, who both spent stints on injured reserve throughout the year. Rookie Kimani Vidal saw opportunities ahead of Haskins, particularly during Dobbins' four-week absence during Week 13-16, but the rotational hodgepodge of the four backs often saw Haskins ahead of Vidal by virtue of his prowess on special teams over the rookie. The former Titans fourth-round pick back in 2022 is on a team-friendly deal next season and could return as a depth piece in a backfield that could be completely reshaped with Dobbins an unrestricted free agent and Edwards due $3 million next season.

  • Patriots' Jaylinn Hawkins: Makes seven starts in 2024

Hawkins tallied 48 total tackles (27 solo) and defended one pass over 17 games in 2024.

The California product served as New England's top reserve safety this season, and with Jabrill Peppers (hamstring) missing nearly two months on the commissioner's exempt list, he had the opportunity start seven games. Hawkins was productive during his time on the field, posting the second-highest tackle total of his career while playing 581 defensive snaps. He's now set to become an unrestricted free agent after signing a one-year, $2.9 million deal with New England last offseason. Hawkins is likely to serve as a reserve safety again in 2025, whether with the Patriots or another team.

  • Patriots' Daniel Ekuale: Career year in 2024

Ekuale recorded 52 total tackles (24 solo), including 1.0 sacks, over 16 games in 2024.

The 31-year-old defensive lineman had the most productive season of his career with New England in 2024, surpassing his previous career high in total tackles by 38. Ekuale also played more than double his previous high for defensive snaps in a season (344 to 693), appearing in all but one of the Patriots' games. He's now set to hit unrestricted free agency after completing the final season of a two-year, $3.4 million deal with New England. Ekuale is expected to be an attractive target on the free-agent market for teams seeking interior defensive line help this offseason.

  • Ben Sinnott TE | WAS

Commanders' Ben Sinnott: Logs another limited session

Sinnott (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

The 2024 second-round pick from Kansas State has now opened the Commanders' week of practice with consecutive limited sessions after sustaining a shoulder injury in the team's wild-card win over the Buccaneers. Sinnott's practice participation Thursday will likely provide the best indication of whether he can play through the issue in Saturday's divisional round matchup against the Lions. If he's unable to suit up, Washington's tight end room will likely consist of Zach Ertz (ribs) and John Bates.

  • Commanders' Zane Gonzalez: Takes every rep Wednesday

Gonzalez (hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Gonzalez was listed as a limited participant Tuesday on Washington's first injury report of the week, but his ability to take every rep a day later clears up any concern about his status for Saturday's divisional-round game in Detroit. After connecting on five of seven field-goal attempts and 19 of 19 extra-point tries over his six appearances with Washington in the regular season, Gonzalez went a perfect 5-for-5 on kicks in this past Sunday's wild-card win over the Buccaneers. He nailed two point-after attempts and all three of his field goals, including a 37-yarder that clanged off the right upright and in for the game-winning points with no time remaining.

  • Keion White DE | NE

Patriots' Keion White: Shows improvement in 2024

White tallied 56 total tackles (31 solo), including 5.0 sacks, defended five passes and forced two fumbles across 17 games in 2024.

White was a bright spot on the Patriots' defense in his second season in the NFL, improving his totals in tackles (26 to 56), sacks (1.0 to 5.0), passes defended (three to five) and forced fumble (zero to two) compared to his rookie campaign. He tied Deatrich Wise for the most sacks on New England's defense, accumulating 45 total pressures on the season. With two years remaining on his rookie contract, White is expected to remain in New England and continue building on his productive sophomore campaign in 2025.

  • Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Crowder was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury.

On Washington's initial divisional-round injury report released Tuesday, Crowder was listed as a non-participant in practice due to both the hamstring issue and rest, but only the hamstring issue appears next to his name on Wednesday's report. Crowder is likely just getting some extra maintenance ahead of Saturday's game against the Lions, as Commanders head coach Dan Quinn hasn't suggested that the veteran wideout's status for the contest is in any jeopardy. In the Commanders' wild-card win over the Buccaneers this past Sunday, Crowder started but played just 11 of the team's 73 offensive snaps and finished without a target.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Commanders' Zach Ertz: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Ertz was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a rib injury.

On Washington's initial divisional-round injury report released Tuesday, Ertz was listed as a non-participant in practice due to both the rib issue and rest, but only the rib issue appears next to his name on Wednesday's report. Ertz is likely just getting some extra maintenance ahead of Saturday's game against the Lions, as Commanders head coach Dan Quinn hasn't suggested that the veteran tight end's status for the contest is in any jeopardy. In the Commanders' wild-card win over the Buccaneers this past Sunday, Ertz played 62 percent of the snaps on offense and finished with two catches for 23 yards on four targets.
