Profar (wrist) took batting practice Sunday and could return to Grapefruit League action Thursday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Profar's batting practice came a day earlier than expected, which would seem to be a good sign as he works his way back from a bone bruise in his left wrist. He could be back in Grapefruit League games soon and getting in some extra reps in minor-league contests is a possibility, as well. Profar is expected to be ready to roll come Opening Day.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Could resume swinging bat soon
Profar (wrist) will be limited to tracking pitches for now but could be cleared to resume swinging a bat in a few days, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Profar was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left wrist after having to exit a Grapefruit League game over the weekend. He is not expected to miss any regular-season action, saying Wednesday that he's "very confident" he'll be ready to go Opening Day.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Dealing with bone bruise
Profar was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left wrist Sunday, and he's not expected to be sidelined for Opening Day, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The news comes as a relief for Atlanta, which will already be without star Ronald Acuna (knee) for the start of the campaign. Profar signed a three-year, $42 million contract in January and is poised to operate as Atlanta's primary left fielder after posting an .839 OPS with 24 homers in 158 regular-season games for San Diego last year.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Heading for CT scan
Profar flew to Atlanta on Sunday to undergo a CT scan on his jammed left wrist, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The 32-year-old had X-rays come back negative after suffering the injury during Saturday's Grapefruit League matchup with the Pirates, but he's set to receive another round of imaging. The results of Profar's CT scan are expected to be available Monday. If he's unavailable to begin the regular season, Bryan De La Cruz and Jarred Kelenic would likely fill starting roles in Atlanta's outfield, rather than platooning in right field.

Profar was removed from Saturday's Grapefruit League game against Pittsburgh due to a jammed left wrist.
Initial X-rays on Profar's wrist came back negative, but he will go in for additional testing within the next few days. If the 32-year-old is forced to miss time, an opportunity would open up for Bryan De La Cruz to receive more reps in the outfield.

Braves' Jurickson Profar: Candidate to hit leadoff
Profar could hit leadoff for Atlanta until Ronald Acuna (knee) is fully healthy, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Michael Harris might also see action at the top of the lineup, but Profar appears to be the team's best leadoff option while Acuna completes his recovery from ACL surgery. In 83 regular-season plate appearances at leadoff for the Padres last season, Profar delivered an eye-popping .451 OBP, helping to fuel his career-high .380 season-long mark in that category. The 31-year-old also scored a career-high 94 runs in 2024, and he could challenge triple digits if he sees significant time hitting ahead of the likes of Austin Riley, Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna this season.
