  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Goes deep in win

Duran went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's victory against the Rockies.

Duran knocked an RBI single in the sixth inning before belting a solo shot in the seventh. It was his seventh long ball of the year but just the second over his last 23 games. Duran owns a .259/.315/.427 slash line with 40 extra-base hits and 47 RBI through 92 contests this season. He also has 15 stolen bases but has not swiped a bag since June 20.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Sitting out versus left-hander

Duran is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rockies.

The Red Sox are facing a left-hander (Austin Gomber) for the third day in a row, and while Duran started the first two of those contests, he will begin Monday's game on the bench. Rob Refsnyder will start in left field while Wilyer Abreu will get the nod in right field as he makes a rare start versus a lefty. Duran is hitting .216/.245/.336 with a 29.3 percent strikeout rate against southpaws this season.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Drives in three in win

Duran went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and one run scored in Friday's 11-2 win over the Nationals.

Duran hit an RBI single in the second inning and later added a two-run double in the fifth. The 28-year-old is riding a modest five-game hitting streak and has hit safely in nine of his past 11 games overall, with the latter stretch including six extra-base hits, four RBI and eight runs scored. On the season, he's slashing .255/.313/.412 with six home runs, 42 RBI, 48 runs scored and 15 steals across 404 plate appearances.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Homers in victory

Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and three runs scored during Monday's 13-6 win over the Reds.

Duran hit his second home run in June, and sixth on the season, to help pad the Red Sox lead after Cincinnati cut it down to three. He might have capped the month off well, but the 28-year-old has struggled at the plate in June, slashing .206/.287/.371 with season lows across the board for a single month this season. His .723 OPS for the season remains far off of his .834 mark in last year's All-Star campaign.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Ejected Sunday

Duran was ejected from Sunday's game against the Giants in the top of the eighth inning, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Duran ripped a line drive to right field to open the top of the eighth, ultimately being thrown out at second base while trying to stretch a single into a double. The outfielder argued with the umpire after the play and was tossed thereafter. Duran finished his day 1-for-4 at the plate, and he'll look to reset ahead of Monday's series opener against the Angels.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Logs steal Friday

Duran went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 7-5 win over the Giants.

This was Duran's first multi-hit game since June 3 versus the Angels. He had been held hitless in five of his previous six games, going 1-for-19 with a triple and seven strikeouts in that span. The outfielder has been a little streaky at the plate this year but still has a .260/.313/.412 slash line over 76 contests. He's added five home runs, 15 steals, 38 RBI, 40 runs scored, 18 doubles and eight triples.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Lower in order against lefties

Red Sox manager Alex Cora will move Duran to the middle of the order against left-handers, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Aside from the days he's been out of the lineup, Duran has led off all season long. That changed Saturday, when Cora shifted him to fifth against Carlos Rodon. He's batting sixth Sunday against Max Fried, per Cotillo. Duran sports a .245 average and .628 OPS against southpaws, which may partially explain Cora's motivation for the shift. The manager also said the move is about getting more plate appearances for both Refsnyder and Romy Gonzalez, who's batting third for a second straight game Sunday.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Receiving rare day off

Duran is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

Duran will step out of the lineup Friday after a run of 54 consecutive starts. He'll put a pause on his nine-game hit streak, during which he's batting .316 (12-for-38) with five doubles, a triple and a homer. Rob Refsnyder will take over in left field and bat leadoff for Boston.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Mashes fifth homer in victory

Duran went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Rays.

It was the fifth round tripper of the campaign by Duran, who last homered back on May 24. Although the speedy outfielder has taken a bit of a step back in the power department so far -- he's slugging .428 this year after slugging .492 in 2024 -- he's been plenty productive despite the decrease in pop. Duran is batting .271 with 18 doubles, seven triples, 38 RBI, 38 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 299 at-bats, and he's tied for the American League lead in three-baggers.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Picks up three hits in defeat

Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored during Monday's 7-6 loss to the Angels.

Duran got back into the hit column after an 0-for-17 stretch with a double in the third inning, one of two that he would hit in the ballgame, the first time he recorded an extra-base hit in five games. The 28-year-old has collected his hits in bunches over the last 11 games, either going hitless or picking up multiple hits in each contest. He is slashing .271/.317/.417 for the season.

Duran went 4-for-5 in Sunday's 5-1 loss to Baltimore.

Duran collected four singles on the day for his second four-hit game of the season and eighth of his career. The outfielder's bat has come alive the last two weeks; he's 19-for-50 (.380) with three doubles, two triples, two home runs and 12 RBI over the last 12 games.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Goes deep in twin bill

Duran went a combined 2-for-8 with a solo home run and a walk across Saturday's doubleheader split versus Baltimore.

Duran led off Boston's half of the first inning in Game 1 with a solo blast to right-center field. He reached twice more in that contest before going 0-for-4 in the low-scoring nightcap. By failing to get aboard in Game 2, Duran's stretch of reaching base in 10 straight contests came to an end. He had batted .366 with a pair of homers and 12 RBI during the hot streak, and his season slash line now sits at .268/.319/.425 with four long balls, 33 RBI, 30 runs and 12 stolen bases through 248 plate appearances.

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Plates four runs in victory

Duran went 2-for-5 with a home run and four total RBI in a 7-6 victory versus Atlanta on Saturday.

Duran put Boston on the board with a two-run homer in the third inning and added a two-run single to tie the score with two outs in the eighth. The outfielder has three multi-hit efforts over his past four games and is batting .368 (7-for-19) during that span. Duran is slashing a solid .262/.309/.406 on the campaign, but he has just three homers, and Saturday's long ball was his first since April 29 (a stretch of 15 games).

  • Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Triples, swipes bag in two-hit game

Duran went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta.

Duran legged out his American League-leading fifth triple, tallying his 15th multi-hit game of the year as well. The 28-year-old outfielder has been quite productive despite a lack of power over his last 23 outings (102 at-bats), during which he's batting .284 with six doubles, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and six stolen bases. As long as he's consistently leading off for the Red Sox, Duran should have plenty of run-scoring upside going forward.
