  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Cold from deep

Curry tallied 16 points (6-18 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six assists, five rebounds and two steals across 28 minutes in Tuesday's 111-97 win over the Lakers.

Although the Warriors lifted their preseason record to 5-0, their fearless leader struggled to find the bottom of the basket. Curry tends to live and die by his perimeter shot, but other scoring and decent assist totals usually salvage his stat line when he isn't dialed in. The prolific All-Star matched Kevon Looney with a team-high six assists in the win.

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Playing through minor finger injury

Curry is wearing a small wrap on his right index finger but will play and start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Lakers in Las Vegas, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports.

Curry said he's still experiencing minor pain after catching his finger in a jersey during last Friday's win over the Kings. However, the medical staff doesn't believe there's a major re-injury concern, so the point guard will play through the issue. The Warriors have two preseason games left before opening the regular season against the Trail Blazers on Oct. 23.

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Expected to play Tuesday

Curry (finger) is expected to play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Lakers, Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Curry jammed his finger during Friday's preseason win over the Kings and didn't suit up for Sunday's win over the Pistons. However, the issue appears minor, and Curry will return to action Tuesday, along with Draymond Green (rest) and Andrew Wiggins (illness).

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Won't play Sunday

Curry (finger) won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Pistons, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.

Curry exited Friday's preseason game early with a jammed finger and will now miss Sunday's contest. It is unclear whether or not his absence is simply for rest or due to the injury, which doesn't appear to be a long-term issue.

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Jams finger in preseason game

Curry jammed his finger late in the first half of Friday's 109-106 exhibition victory over the Kings and did not return, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Curry went through his usual postgame workout routine in the weight room, and it does not sound like it should be too much of an issue going forward. Still, it is worth monitoring, as the Warriors will presumably err on the side of caution with their star guard during the preseason. The sharpshooter finished with just six points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3PT, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block across 16 minutes.

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Scores 13 points in limited work

Curry totaled 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt), an assist and a steal across 16 minutes in Wednesday's 122-112 win over the Kings.

The Warriors have several new pieces to experiment with, so it made sense for Curry to leave the court early. Although Klay Thompson is gone, Curry has inherited much-needed support around him. Buddy Hield, De'Anthony Melton and returnee Brandin Podziemski will aid Curry and fill out the backcourt this season.

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Scores nine points vs. Clippers

Curry finished Saturday's 91-90 preseason win over the Clippers with nine points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two assists, one rebound and one steal across 14 minutes.

None of the Warriors' starters, including Curry, played more than 20 minutes in the preseason opener Saturday, but the two-time MVP managed to lead the starting five in scoring. Who will replace Klay Thompson in the backcourt next to Curry hasn't been solidified, but De'Anthony Melton got the nod over Brandin Podziemski on Saturday. The 36-year-old Curry will continue to serve as the focal point of the Warriors' offense as he enters his 15th season in the NBA.
