Rockets' Amen Thompson: Solid from bench in defeat
Thompson accumulated 14 points (5-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds and one block across 22 minutes during Thursday's 99-93 loss to Golden State.
Thompson's solid multi-category contributions come and go like the wind, but the second-year wing is doing a decent job in a supporting role. He's one injury away from finding his way into the starting lineup and has the goods to fill in at several positions.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Scores team-high 16 points in loss
Sengun ended Thursday's 99-93 loss to the Warriors with 16 points (7-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals across 29 minutes.
Sengun posted a below-average line on a night when the starting five also fell short of projections. Houston's 93 points marked its lowest point total of the season, and the Rockets have lost both games during the California road trip. Sengun failed to hit double-digit rebound totals in both games and averaged a below-average 29.5 minutes during the two losses. Sengun's ejection during Tuesday's game is a partial reason for the usage dip.

Rockets' Dillon Brooks: Posts 15 points in loss
Brooks accumulated 15 points (6-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 99-93 loss to the Warriors.
Draymond Green (calf) wasn't on the floor Thursday night, so we didn't get to see Brooks mix it up with his rival. Brooks' disdain for Green and the Warriors is well-documented, and he made an impact in the contest despite going cold beyond the arc. While he's popped in a few games, Brooks' totals have been hit-or-miss this season, and he should be regarded as a risk-reward fantasy option.

Rockets' Fred VanVleet: Will play Thursday
VanVleet (knee) is available for Thursday's game against the Warriors.
VanVleet went unscathed through warmups, so the veteran floor general will be available for this contest against the Warriors. The veteran point guard hasn't missed a game since Nov. 11, and he'll keep that streak alive Thursday. VanVleet is averaging 19.1 points, 6.1 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game over his last 10 starts.

Rockets' Fred VanVleet: Expected to play Thursday
VanVleet (knee), who is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Warriors, will go through warmups with the intention of playing, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
VanVleet is questionable due to a right knee contusion, but he is expected to suit up barring any setbacks during warmups. The veteran point guard hasn't missed a game since Nov. 11, and in his last five outings (all starts), VanVleet averaged 19.8 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 0.6 steals across 37.6 minutes per game.

Rockets' Jalen Green: Healthy entering Thursday
Green (eye) does not carry an injury designation in advance of Thursday's game versus Golden State.
Green was jabbed in the eye during Tuesday's loss to Sacramento, but he appears no worse for the wear. Green has alternated monster scoring performances with subpar output of late, and he was limited to seven points (2-13 FG) in a loss to Golden State on Nov. 2.

Rockets' Tari Eason: In concussion protocol
Eason (concussion) won't play in Thursday's game against the Warriors.
Eason nabbed a double-double in Tuesday's victory, but he picked up a concussion during the contest. While he's sidelined, Jeff Green and Jae'Sean Tate could see more action. Eason's next chance to play will come Sunday against the Clippers.

Rockets' Fred VanVleet: Questionable to play Thursday
VanVleet is questionable for Thursday's game against the Warriors due to a right knee contusion.
The veteran floor general has been a key part of the Rockets' impressive campaign, and not having him running the offense could be a huge blow for Houston. If he doesn't play Thursday, then Reed Sheppard, Aaron Holiday and Amen Thompson are all candidates to see more minutes in the backcourt.

Rockets' Amen Thompson: Posts a dud in loss
Thompson posted three points (1-5 FG, 1-4 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes during Tuesday's 120-111 loss to Sacramento.
This was a brutal showing for Thompson, although he was likely due for a dud in what has been a breakout campaign for the second-year forward. Through his opening 22 regular-season contests, Thompson has flashed some serious fantasy upside with averages of 11.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks in 26.5 minutes per contest.

Rockets' Tari Eason: Records double-double from bench
Eason racked up 16 points (5-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and three steals in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 120-111 loss to the Kings.
Tuesday marked Eason's second double-double of the season, which he achieved in only 25 minutes of court time. His was an almost exact swap for Dillon Brooks for most of the game, although the two played together in the fourth quarter when Eason was on the court for 10 of 12 minutes. He also did the bulk of his damage in the final stanza, posting nine points and eight rebounds.

Rockets' Fred VanVleet: Huge regression in loss
VanVleet registered 13 points (6-17 FG, 1-10 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 120-111 loss to Sacramento.
After posting a season-high 38 points in his precious game, VanVleet came crashing back to Earth on Tuesday with one of his lowest totals of the season. Since joining the Rockets, VanVleet has been notoriously streaky, matching surprise triumphs with mediocre lows. It's evened out to a 16.1-point scoring average this season, but the veteran's role won't change because of an occasional poor shooting performance.

Rockets' Jalen Green: Suffers eye injury Tuesday
Green will be evaluated by an eye doctor Wednesday after taking a hit to his right eye during Tuesday's 120-111 loss to the Kings, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. He ended the game with 28 points (9-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal across 34 minutes.
Green was able to play through the issue, though he said he experienced impaired vision after taking a hit to the eye, according to Feigen. The 22-year-old delivered a stellar performance with his 10th 20-plus-point outing of the season, but his status could be in jeopardy for Thursday's game against the Warriors. If Green is sidelined, Amen Thompson and Reed Sheppard are candidates to move into the starting five.

Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Ejected from game Tuesday
Sengun was ejected with 1:52 remaining in Tuesday's game versus the Kings. He will finish the contest with 24 points (10-20 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes.
Sengun was ejected alongside Rockets coach Ime Udoka late in the fourth quarter after receiving double technicals for arguing with the refs. Still, Sengun had a productive outing, scoring at least 20 points in his fifth straight appearance.
