Pacers' Isaiah Jackson: Suffers torn Achilles
Jackson suffered a torn Achilles during Friday's game against the Pelicans, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Jackson left during the fourth quarter of Friday's game with what was initially diagnosed as a right calf injury, but further tests have revealed a much more severe injury, and he will undergo surgery Monday, per Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com. Jackson was set to take on a larger role as the Pacers' top big man off the bench after James Wiseman tore his Achilles, but now Indiana will be without their top two backup centers for the rest of the year. With Myles Turner as the only healthy center left, the Pacers may have Obi Toppin play at the five at times or look to sign a free-agent big man.

Pacers' Myles Turner: Inefficient in return
Turner recorded 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 30 minutes during Friday's 125-118 loss to New Orleans.
Turner returned to action Friday after missing Indiana's previous contest with an ankle injury. Through his first five appearances this season, the 28-year-old big man is struggling with his efficiency, posting 46.4/33.3/63.2 shooting splits. However, Turner's 1.8 blocks per contest are a valuable asset for fantasy managers.

Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Delivers nine dimes in loss
McConnell closed with 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Friday's 125-118 loss to the Pelicans.
McConnell did his thing Friday, providing adequate assist and steal numbers. With Andrew Nembhard sidelined due to a knee injury, McConnell was afforded a slightly longer leash. Should Nembhard continue to miss games, McConnell could be a sneaky fantasy addition, albeit offering value in only a couple of categories.

Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Another strange performance
Haliburton contributed 11 points (2-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and 11 assists across 33 minutes during Friday's 125-118 loss to the Pelicans.
Haliburton was quiet again, continuing his baffling start to the season. The fact he attempted fewer shots than T.J. McConnell tells you a lot about where his head is at right now. While the 11 assists are nice, his overall production has been massively underwhelming. The hope is that this is just a funk that he can work his way out of. However, there could come a point very soon when this becomes a worrying trend.

Pacers' Ben Sheppard: Goes for 20 points in loss
Sheppard totaled 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-11 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes during Friday's 125-118 loss to the Pelicans.
Sheppard stepped up in the loss, scoring a career-high 20 points, mostly on his six triples. With Andrew Nembhard (knee) sidelined and Aaron Nesmith going down with an ankle injury, Sheppard was afforded additional playing time. While this is certainly a noteworthy performance, it appears as though he would need both players to continue missing time to have a shot at playing anywhere near 30 minutes.

Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Won't return Friday
Nesmith (ankle) won't return to Friday's game against the Pelicans.
Nesmith was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor with 12 points in 10 first-half minutes before sustaining a left ankle sprain. With Andrew Nembhard (knee) also out, the Pacers will need more out of Bennedict Mathurin, Jarace Walker, T.J. McConnell, Obi Toppin and Ben Sheppard.

Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Sprains left ankle Friday
Nesmith is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Pelicans due to a left ankle sprain, Pat Boylan of Bally Sports Indiana reports.
Per Tony East of SI.com, Nesmith was in a lot of pain as he reached for his left ankle and had to be helped off the court before limping to the locker room. Nesmith was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor with 12 points in 10 first-half minutes. If Nesmith is unable to return, T.J. McConnell, Obi Toppin and Ben Sheppard would be candidates for further increased roles, as Andrew Nembhard (knee) was ruled out ahead of the contest.

Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Iffy for Friday
Nembhard (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Pelicans.

Pacers' Myles Turner: Questionable against New Orleans
Turned (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Pelicans.
Turner was also deemed questionable for Indiana's previous contest before ultimately being ruled out with a left ankle sprain. If Turner is unable to suit up against New Orleans, Isaiah Jackson should draw another start.

Pacers' Obi Toppin: Posts season high in win Wednesday
Toppin finished Wednesday's 135-132 nailbiter victory over the Celtics with 18 points (6-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.
Toppin recorded season highs in both points (18) and minutes (33), and has put up at least 14 points for a third consecutive game. Despite concerns regarding playing time in the previous contest against the Magic, Toppin was second among all bench players in minutes Wednesday night, behind only Bennedict Mathurin (43). He is averaging 11.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.4 blocks and a solid 37.5 percent mark from three to begin the season.

Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Dealing with knee tendinitis
Head coach Rick Carlisle said after Wednesday's 135-132 overtime win over the Celtics that Nembhard was dealing with tendinitis, Tony East of SI.com reports. Nembhard tallied two points (1-1 FG), one assist and one steal across five minutes.
Carlisle said the issue popped up during pre-game warmups but he decided to keep Nembhard in the starting lineup. Nembhard was subbed out with 6:57 left in the first quarter and never checked back in. His next chance to play will come Friday at New Orleans.

Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Dishes 12 dimes Wednesday
Haliburton tallied 17 points (7-19 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 assists, six rebounds and two steals over 39 minutes in Wednesday's 135-132 overtime win over Boston.
Haliburton's three-point struggles continued during Wednesday's game, but he managed to lead both teams with 12 assists while logging his second straight double-double of the 2024-25 regular season. Haliburton is shooting just 34.6 percent from the field (including 25.0 percent from three) over the first five games of the regular season, but he's the engine that keeps the Pacers' offense going, and he can afford to have off nights as long as teammates are able to pick up the scoring load.
