Lakers' Dorian Finney-Smith: Will not play Wednesday
Finney-Smith (personal) will not play Wednesday against the Heat, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Finney-Smith is expected to miss Wednesday's contest to welcome his new baby boy, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. Despite being traded to the Lakers recently, Finney-Smith has been a crucial player among the second unit, averaging 23.5 minutes per game. With Finney-Smith out, expect Cam Reddish to see extended playing time.

Lakers' LeBron James: Nabs another probable tag
James (foot) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game versus the Heat, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
James continues to receive probable tags due to left foot injury management but has played in Los Angeles' last six outings. The superstar forward averaged 33.8 minutes per contest over that span, so he is unlikely to operate on a minutes restriction if officially upgraded to available against Miami.

Lakers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Still out for Wednesday
Hood-Schifino (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hood-Schifino hasn't played since Dec. 1 due to the left hamstring strain, and his absence shouldn't cause any waves in the rotation. His next chance to return will come Friday against Brooklyn.

Lakers' Dorian Finney-Smith: Doubtful for Wednesday
Finney-Smith (personal) has been listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Heat, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Finney-Smith has played in only six games for the Lakers since being traded to Los Angeles by the Nets. The defensive-minded forward appears to be on track to miss Wednesday's game against Miami after playing only 20 minutes off the bench in Monday's blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs, finishing with four points, three rebounds and two steals.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Probable for Wednesday
Davis (foot) is probable for Wednesday's game against Miami, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Davis has been a mainstay on the injury report throughout the first half of the season due to left foot plantar fasciitis, though he is expected to suit up against the Heat. The superstar big man has missed only two matchups this season, and he has played in each of the Lakers' last four outings, during which he has averaged 24.8 points, 14.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 35.5 minutes per contest.

Lakers' Bronny James: Questionable with illness
James (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Heat, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Following an absence with an illness in Monday's game against the Spurs, James is in jeopardy of missing consecutive outings Wednesday. Even if the 20-year-old second-round rookie is unavailable against Miami, James' absence would not significantly impact Los Angeles' rotation.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Poor shooting display
Reaves contributed 12 points (4-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and eight assists across 33 minutes during Monday's 126-102 loss to the Spurs.
Reaves ended just two assists away from recording a double-double, and that shouldn't be surprising since he's been excellent as a playmaker. However, fantasy managers won't be happy with his dismal shooting performance after ending with more shots than points scored. Despite the shooting woes, which aren't very common with Reaves, he should remain one of the Lakers' most reliable fantasy options due to his role as the team's primary playmaker as well as his usage rate.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Massive double-double
Davis logged 30 points (13-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 32 minutes during Monday's 126-102 loss to San Antonio.
The Lakers didn't have a good performance overall and looked overmatched in a 24-point defeat to the Spurs, but the star big man had an excellent individual showing. This was his sixth straight double-double, and he has scored at least 30 points three times during that stretch while averaging 27.2 points, 14.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.

Lakers' LeBron James: Close to double-double
James recorded 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes during Monday's 126-102 loss to the Spurs.
The Lakers looked surprisingly overmatched Monday and lost by 24 points, but James was one of the few bright spots for them, showing an efficient touch from the floor and ending just two assists away from a double-double. James continues to play at a high level in his age-40 season, and the star forward is averaging 25.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 8.2 assists and a combined 1.3 steals-plus-blocks over his last 10 games.

Lakers' Christian Wood: Return not imminent
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said Monday that he had no update on the status of Wood, who has been sidelined all season while recovering from the left knee surgery he underwent in September, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
Back on Dec. 30, Redick told Starkand that Wood was able to take part in some individual work following the Lakers' practice session, but the lack of a concrete update on the big man's status in the two weeks since then suggest that Wood has either plateaued in his recovery or suffered a setback. Whatever the case, Wood seems further from a return than fellow big man Jarred Vanderbilt (foot), whom Redick said Monday is "close" to playing, but won't be an option for any of the team's games this week, per Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. Assuming Vanderbilt ends up beating him back to the court for his season debut, Wood may not be a serious candidate to enter the rotation even once he's made a full recovery from knee surgery.

Lakers' Bronny James: Ruled out Monday
James (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Spurs.
James will miss Monday's matchup due to the illness, though his absence shouldn't cause any waves in the rotation, as he has averaged 2.8 minutes per game over eight appearances. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against Miami.

Lakers' Anthony Davis: Gets green light Monday
Davis (foot) is available for Monday's game against the Spurs, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
Davis has been a mainstay on the injury report due to left foot plantar fasciitis, though he has missed only two outings this season. Over his last five appearances, the superstar big man has averaged 26.6 points, 14.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.2 steals in 37.2 minutes per contest. He has also shot 51.1 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from downtown in that five-game span.

Lakers' LeBron James: Officially cleared to play
James (foot) is available for Monday's game against San Antonio, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
James was tagged as probable leading up to Monday's clash, so his availability was never really in doubt. He's averaging 34.2 minutes over his last five appearances and should be ready to tackle a full workload versus the Spurs.

Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Won't return this week
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said Monday that Vanderbilt (foot) isn't on track to play at any point during the team's four-game week, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
While Redick notes Vanderbilt is progressing well and is "close" to making his season debut, the Lakers want to see the 25-year-old big man get in some more live action in practice before clearing him to play. Vanderbilt is working his way back from May surgeries to address a right midfoot sprain and a bone spur in his left foot. Once he's cleared to resume playing, Vanderbilt could unseat Jaxson Hayes in the rotation and join Dorian Finney-Smith as the Lakers' primary reserve options in the frontcourt.
