  • Jazz's Keyonte George: Solid outing at Rising Stars event

George registered three points (1-3 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two assists, two rebounds and one steal over 7:34 of court time during Team C's 25-14 win over Team G League in the Rising Stars finals Friday.

George hit the game-clinching shot in the finals to win the Rising Stars event. He made his mark in the semifinals against Team T, finishing with 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one assist over 10:21 of court time. George and Team C will advance to the All-Star Game tournament Sunday, where they will face Team Shaq in the first round. The 2023 first-round pick entered the All-Star break having averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds over 31.4 minutes per game over his last 10 outings.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Career-high 20 points Thursday

Filipowski posted 20 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and 10 rebounds over 37 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 120-116 overtime loss to the Clippers.

It was the third double-double of the year for Filipowski, who stepped up with a career-high 20 points in the absence of Walker Kessler (thumb). Through 10 contests as a starter in 2024-25, Filipowski has averaged 9.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.6 steals in 24.6 minutes. With the rebuilding Jazz getting buried in the Western Conference standings ahead of the All-Star break, it wouldn't be surprising to see the rookie big man make additional starts down the stretch of the year.

  • Jazz's John Collins: Productive outing in loss

Collins posted 17 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 41 minutes during Thursday's 120-116 overtime loss to the Clippers.

Collins put together a productive outing, a common occurrence for him in 2024-25. The star forward has averaged 18.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 0.7 steals in 32.4 minutes across his last nine outings, but a lack of availability may continue to be an issue with the rebuilding Jazz down the stretch of the campaign. Collins has been active for only 10 of Utah's last 22 games.

  • Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Continues to pile up assists

Collier produced 16 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and four steals in 32 minutes during Thursday's 120-116 overtime loss to the Clippers.

Collier posted his seventh straight game of distributing at least eight assists, but it did come with a career-high seven turnovers. Overall, the rookie first-rounder has been a revelation for the Jazz ahead of the All-Star break. Collier has settled in as Utah's starting point guard over Keyonte George, and he's averaged 12.5 points, 9.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 31.2 minutes over his 11 games.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Starting vs. LAC

Filipowski is starting Thursday's game against the Clippers, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports.

  • Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Starting sans Clarkson

Mykhailiuk will start in Thursday's game against the Clippers, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports.

The 27-year-old will receive the starting nod with Jordan Clarkson (foot) on the shelf. Mykhailiuk has received two DNPs due to a coach's decision over his last five outings on the active roster, though he started in the other three, averaging 9.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 24.3 minutes per game.

  • Jazz's Walker Kessler: Won't go Thursday

Kessler has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Clippers due to a left thumb sprain.

Kessler was a late addition to the injury report due to the thumb injury, and his next chance to play will come Feb. 21 against the Thunder. With the big man sidelined, Kyle Filipowski and Micah Potter are candidates for an uptick in playing time.

  • Jazz's KJ Martin: Remaining sidelined

Martin (conditioning) is out for Thursday's game versus the Clippers.

Martin hasn't played since Dec. 23 and will continue to sit out Thursday due to a return to competition reconditioning. However, Martin will have the entire All-Star break to gear up for a return against the Thunder on Feb. 21.

  • Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Sitting out Thursday

Clarkson is out for Thursday's game versus the Clippers due to left foot Plantar Fasciitis injury management.

Clarkson will sit out the second leg of Utah's back-to-back Thursday due to left foot Plantar Fasciitis. With Collin Sexton (ankle) still out, Keyonte George will likely receive increased playing time. Clarkson should be able to return to action against the Thunder on Feb. 21.

  • Jazz's Collin Sexton: Another absence coming

Sexton (ankle) is out for Thursday's game versus the Clippers.

Sexton's absence streak will extend to six games Thursday due to a left ankle sprain. With Jordan Clarkson (foot) also out, Keyonte George should receive increased playing time. Sexton's next chance to suit up will come after the All-Star break against the Thunder on Feb. 21.

  • Jazz's Keyonte George: Huge night from second unit

George contributed 20 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 33 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 131-119 win over the Lakers.

The second-year guard lost his starting spot to Isaiah Collier in late January due to his shooting woes, but George seems to be finding his groove on the second unit. He's scored in double digits in 10 straight games, collecting two of his four double-doubles on the season during that stretch, and George has averaged 17.4 points, 6.1 assists, 4.2 boards and 2.1 threes over that period while shooting a respectable 44.9 percent from the floor in 30.8 minutes a contest.

  • Jazz's Walker Kessler: Six rejections in Wednesday's win

Kessler chipped in 16 points (8-8 FG), eight rebounds, one assist, six blocks and two steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 131-119 victory over the Lakers.

Five of his swats came before halftime, and his six blocks on the night were a new season high. Kessler has provided double-digit points or boards, or both, in six straight appearances to begin February, averaging 13.3 points, 14.7 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, 2.0 assists and 0.8 steals during that span while shooting a blistering 71.4 percent from the floor.

  • Jazz's Jordan Clarkson: Teases triple-double in win

Clarkson provided 21 points (7-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds and seven assists across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 131-119 win over the Lakers.

While it was a little bit surprising Clarkson wasn't dealt at the trade deadline, the veteran guard has been giving the Jazz valuable minutes in February. He's started four of the last five games while Collin Sexton (ankle) has been sidelined, and over that stretch Clarkson has averaged 23.0 points, 4.8 assists, 4.3 boards and 4.3 threes in 31.3 minutes a contest while shooting 45.9 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Strikes for game-high 32

Markkanen closed Wednesday's 131-119 victory over the Lakers with 32 points (11-18 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes.

The 27-year-old forward led all scorers on the night, and his six made three-pointers represented his best performance from beyond the arc since Jan. 9. Markkanen has been getting frequent rest as he nurses a back issue, sitting out three of the last 12 games for Utah, but he's been productive when he's been on the court. Over those nine appearances, he's averaged 17.7 points, 6.2 boards, 2.8 threes, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals.
