  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Won't play in Week 13

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's matchup against the Broncos.

Foreman has now been a healthy scratch in each of the Browns' last four games, with his most recent appearance coming in a Week 8 win over the Ravens. Without Foreman on Monday night, Cleveland's running back room will consist of Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Healthy scratch for Week 12

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Steelers.

Foreman will be a healthy inactive for a third straight game as the Browns roll with a three-man backfield of Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong. Foreman's next opportunity to play will be Week 13 against the Broncos on Monday, Dec. 2.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Sidelined for Week 11

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Foreman will be a healthy scratch for a second straight game. Nick Chubb will lead the Browns' backfield Sunday while Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong serve as the backups.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Inactive for Week 9

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Foreman won't suit up Sunday since Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford (hamstring) are both available for the first time this season. Pierre Strong will serve as Cleveland's No. 3 tailback.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Five touches in win

Foreman had five carries for 26 yards in Sunday's 29-24 win over the Ravens.

Foreman, the only running back other than Nick Chubb to get a carry, played 13 snaps compared to Pierre Strong's 14. This was Chubb's second game back, and as expected his workload increased. Cleveland's top back barely played in the second half last week (one carry), but he had six carries following halftime Sunday, as his snap count rose from 30 to 42. The stronger Chubb gets post-injury, the further marginalized Foreman's role will become, and Jerome Ford (hamstring) will return soon as well.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Fewest backfield snaps in loss

Foreman had two carries for five yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Bengals. He also returned to two kickoffs for 31 yards.

On the day that Nick Chubb finally returned to action, Foreman brought up the rear of the backfield with just 11 snaps, compared to Chubb's 30 and Pierre Strong's 42. Jerome Ford (hamstring) was inactive. Foreman's touches have fluctuated from week to week, and he's yet to score a touchdown. Ford's return, and the pending season debut of Nyheim Hines (knee) -- who can also handle kick return duties -- could cost Foreman his roster spot in Cleveland.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Part of Week 7 backfield mix

Foreman (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN reports.

Foreman will suit up after practicing without limitations Friday. He was listed as limited both Wednesday and Thursday. The Browns will be without Jerome Ford (hamstring) but expect to welcome back Nick Chubb (knee, questionable) in the backfield, which could result in minimal changes to Foreman's workload. Foreman has three games with five or fewer touches and three with 10-to-15 touches this season, but he's averaging just 3.2 YPC and has yet to score a touchdown.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Logs limited practice

Foreman (groin) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

In this past weekend's 20-16 loss to the Eagles, Foreman logged 20 snaps en route to recording 31 yards on 10 carries and 16 yards on two catches. While fellow RB Jerome Ford -- who was limited to four snaps Week 6 after sustaining a hamstring injury -- didn't practice Wednesday, the Browns backfield for Sunday's contest against the Bengals is expected to be bolstered by the anticipated return of Nick Chubb (knee). In that context, Foreman, assuming his availability, would likely work in a timeshare that also would include Pierre Strong this weekend, regardless of Ford's status.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Remains limited in practice

Foreman (groin) was a limited practice participant Thursday.

There are a bunch of moving parts in the Cleveland backfield, with Jerome Ford (hamstring) missing a second straight practice Thursday while Nick Chubb (knee) was a full participant again. Foreman lands in the middle, having logged limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, but he may not have much of a role with Chubb on track to return for Sunday's matchup with the Bengals.

  • Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Backfield touch leader in loss

Foreman gained 31 yards on 10 carries and caught both of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Philadelphia in Week 6.

Starter Jerome Ford left the game after just four snaps with a hamstring injury, leaving the bulk of the backfield duties to Foreman and Pierre Strong (10 touches). Foreman's 12 touches (20 snaps) led the backfield while Strong (30 snaps) was on the field more often and was more productive (78 scrimmage yards). Ford's status for Week 7's tilt against the Bengals may not matter much to Foreman or Strong, as the Browns anticipate Nick Chubb (knee) being ready to make his 2024 debut.
