Broncos' D.J. Jones: Signs new deal with Denver
Jones and the Broncos agreed on a three-year contract Sunday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Jones is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he compiled 42 total tackles (21 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding a fumble recovery and three passes defensed over the Broncos' 17 regular-season games. The 30-year-old now will stick around Denver for a few more years, likely operating as its primary nose tackle again in 2025.

Broncos' D.J. Jones: Production drops in 2024
Jones tallied 42 total tackles (21 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three passes defended over 17 regular-season games in 2024.
Despite starting all 17 of the Broncos' regular-season games this year, Jones recorded fewer tackles (46 to 42), sacks (2.0 to 1.0) and forced fumbles (three to zero) compared to his 2023 campaign. The 30-year-old was outproduced by fellow nose tackle Malcolm Roach, who logged more tackles (43 to 42), sacks (2.5 to 1.0) and forced fumbles (one to zero) in 2024 despite starting just one game. Jones just concluded the final season of a three-year, $30 million deal signed with Denver in 2022, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer. He's likely to be a sought-after name for teams in need of interior defensive line help this offseason.

Broncos' D.J. Jones: Past finger injury
Jones (finger) has no injury designation ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Chargers, Susanna Weir of the Broncos' official site reports.
Jones upgraded from a limited practice session Tuesday to a full workload Wednesday, suggesting that he's moved past his finger injury in time to play Thursday night. The 29-year-old has recorded 36 total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, and two passes defended over 14 appearances this season. He's expected to serve as the Broncos' top nose tackle in the Week 16 divisional matchup.

Jones (finger) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Jones injured his finger in Sunday's win over the Colts and was unable to return to the game. Malcolm Roach filled in with extra snaps in the middle of Denver's defensive line with Jones out. The Broncos have a short week ahead of Thursday night's date with the Chargers.
