  • Kerryon Johnson: Let go by Philly

Johnson was cut from the Eagles' practice squad Monday.

Johnson joined Philly's practice squad in late December, but his standing on the team became apparent when he wasn't elevated to the active roster for Week 18 despite the top three running backs being sidelined. The 24-year-old bounced around practice squads most of the season and appeared in one game for the 49ers.

  • Kerryon Johnson: Joins Eagles' practice squad

Johnson has signed to the Eagles' practice squad.

Johnson's last stint with a team ended with him being cut from the 49ers' practice squad. He worked out for the Packers, Vikings and Jaguars before ultimately landing with the Eagles' practice unit. The journeyman running back will now look to make an impression in Philadelphia.

  • Kerryon Johnson: Visits with Jaguars

Jacksonville hosted Johnson for a visit Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.

Johnson's only NFL appearance this season came as a member of the 49ers back in Week 3. The fourth-year pro has since logged visits with the Packers and Vikings, but he continues to search for another practice squad opportunity.

  • Kerryon Johnson: Checks in with Minnesota

Johnson had a workout with the Vikings on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is looking at a multi-game absence due to a shoulder injury, so it's not a surprise to see Minnesota taking a look at some running backs. Johnson spent the first month of the season on the 49ers' practice squad but has been trying to latch on with a new team since early October.

  • Kerryon Johnson: Works out for Green Bay

Johnson worked out for the Packers on Tuesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

The Packers lost Kylin Hill (knee) for the season, and they are expected to be without Aaron Jones (knee) for a week or two, leaving AJ Dillon and Patrick Taylor as the only healthy running backs on their active roster. Johnson was waived by Detroit in May and has since spent time with the Eagles and 49ers. The 2018 second-round pick has only appeared in one game this season, playing exclusively on special teams.
