Giants' Drew Lock: Drawing another start
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Lock will start Sunday's game against the Saints, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.
Lock will draw a second consecutive start Week 14, while Tommy DeVito (forearm) may be available for No. 2 duties depending on the extent of his practice activity leading up to Sunday's contest, per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. Coming off a disappointing 27-20 loss to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day in which he completed just 21 of 32 passes for 178 yards with no touchdowns and one interception (which was returned for a Dallas touchdown), Lock will need to perform better this week to have a chance at retaining the No. 1 role once DeVito is fully healthy.

Giants' Drew Lock: No starter named for Week 14 yet
Giants coach Brian Daboll said Friday that he doesn't know if Lock or Tommy DeVito (forearm) will start at quarterback in Week 14 against the Saints, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Lock filled in as the starter for an injured DeVito on Thursday, committing two turnovers while throwing for 178 yards on 32 attempts in a 27-20 loss at Dallas. Lock ended up with a decent fantasy score thanks to four rush attempts for 57 yards and a TD, but his pick-six and lost fumble made it challenging for the Giants to win. DeVito may thus step back in as the starter once he's deemed healthy enough to play.

Giants' Drew Lock: Disappoints in spot start
Lock completed 21 of 32 passes for 178 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and added four rushes for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' 27-20 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday. He also lost a fumble.
Lock got his sought-after chance for a start with Tommy DeVito (forearm) sidelined, but the veteran signal-caller ultimately produced middling results with his Thanksgiving opportunity. Lock's afternoon did start off in promising fashion, as he led a 13-play, 70-yard march on the Giants' first possession that culminated with a Tyrone Tracy touchdown run. However, Lock threw a pick-six on the next drive and subsequently lost a fumble on the first possession of the second half, which led to another Cowboys score. Lock did cap off the Giants' last possession of the day with an eight-yard touchdown run, but New York never got the ball back. Thursday may have well represented Lock's only starting opportunity for now, considering DeVito should be ready to play by the time a Week 14 home matchup against the Saints on Sunday, Dec. 8 rolls around.

Giants' Drew Lock: Starting for DeVito on Thursday
Lock will start Thursday's game at Dallas, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, with Tommy DeVito (forearm) inactive as the Giants' emergency third QB.
The will he or won't he situation with DeVito now has been clarified as he deals with a sore right forearm. With DeVito sidelined, Lock will earn his 24th career start but first as a member of the Giants. In the other 23 between the Broncos and Seahawks, Lock averaged 203 yards per game on 60.4 percent passing with a 27:20 TD:INT, rushed 75 times for 290 yards and five touchdowns and fumbled 11 times (four lost).

Giants' Drew Lock: In line to start Thursday
Lock is expected to be the Giants' starting quarterback Thursday in Dallas with Tommy DeVito (forearm) unlikely to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The tide has changed multiple times for DeVito this week as he tends to soreness in his right forearm, but this report from Rapoport indicates Lock will get the spot start for the Giants in Week 13. In three appearances this season, Lock has completed four of nine passes for nine yards and recorded a 13-yard carry.

Giants' Drew Lock: Start not guaranteed Thursday
Lock may not start in place of Tommy DeVito (forearm) in Thursday's game at Dallas, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
After Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reported earlier Wednesday that DeVito was a longshot to play Week 13, Lock became the favorite to draw the start for the Giants on Thursday. Rapoport relays that DeVito underwent an MRI on his right forearm Wednesday to determine if something may have been missed on his initial medical tests, but the quarterback is still scheduled to make the trip to Dallas. The team plans to have DeVito throw before Thursday's game to see if there's less discomfort than there has been the past few days, and if all goes well, he would get the start instead of Lock. Ultimately, a decision on the Giants' plans at quarterback will likely be announced when the team releases its inactive list 90 minutes before a 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Giants' Drew Lock: Looks headed for Thanksgiving start
Lock is expected to serve as the Giants' starting quarterback in Thursday's game against the Cowboys with Tommy DeVito (forearm) listed as questionable but looking like a "longshot" to be available, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Following Sunday's 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers, head coach Brian Daboll said that DeVito would retain the starting job if healthy, but the second-year signal-caller has been battling soreness in his right forearm. DeVito was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice session before sitting out Wednesday's walk-through entirely, resulting in Lock taking extra reps with the first-team offense. While DeVito is still scheduled to travel to Dallas later Wednesday once he receives further evaluation, the Giants seem to be preparing for Lock to direct the offense on Thanksgiving Day. Lock has taken just 13 snaps over the course of three appearances this season as a backup behind the since-waived Daniel Jones and DeVito, but Lock has 23 career NFL starts under his belt and should make for a capable fill-in option for the Giants on a short week. However, with all 32 NFL teams set to play this week, Lock likely won't represent much more than a low-end fantasy play in leagues that start two quarterbacks or have a QB flex spot available.
