Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Makes first impact as receiver
Duvernay caught two of four targets for 23 yards, returned three kickoffs for 68 yards and one punt for five yards during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Texans.
Duvernay entered the weekend having played a minimal offensive role this season, but he played 39 offensive snaps and produced his first positive receiving yardage of 2024 against Houston. The 27-year-old operated as Jacksonville's No. 3 wide receiver ahead of Tim Jones and Elijah Cooks, though none of those three wideouts are likely to have fantasy viability, especially if Mac Jones finishes the campaign as the club's starting quarterback.

Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Cleared to play Sunday
Duvernay (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Duvernay will suit up for the first time since Week 5 after he completed a four-game stint on injured reserve while he recovered from a hamstring strain. In his first five outings with the Jaguars, Duvernay drew just one target and carried three times for 10 yards, but he could see his role on offense expand a bit after fellow wideout Christian Kirk (collarbone) suffered a season-ending injury Week 8. Even if that comes to fruition, Duvernay is still expected to deliver his greatest impact in the return game.

Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Comes off IR on Saturday
The Jaguars activated Duvernay (hamstring) off injured reserve Saturday.
Duvernay was hurt in Jacksonville's Week 5 victory against Indianapolis and subsequently was placed on IR. He was designated to return this past Wednesday and has now been activated. Duvernay could thus suit up Sunday versus Minnesota, which would be a boost to the Jaguars' passing game, with both Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) questionable to play in the contest.

Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Set to resume practicing
The Jaguars designated Duvernay (lower body) for return from injured reserve Wednesday.
A two-time Pro Bowl return man during the first four seasons of his career in Baltimore, Duvernay signed a two-year, $8.5 million contract with the Jaguars in the spring. He suited up in each of Jacksonville's first five games and primarily served on special teams, logging just one reception and carrying three times for 10 yards before landing on IR on Oct. 9. After sitting out the last four games, Duvernay is now healthy enough to practice, and he could be a candidate to return from IR this Sunday against the Vikings if he checks out fine during the week. Once activated, Duvernay will likely continue to provide most of his value in the return game, but he may have an opportunity to see more reps on offense with wideout Christian Kirk (collarbone) done for the season.

Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Shifts to IR
The Jaguars placed Duvernay (lower body) on injured reserve Wednesday.
The 27-year-old sustained a lower-body injury during the Jaguars' Week 5 win over the Colts, and it now appears serious enough to land him on IR. Duvernay accumulated one reception for minus-1 yard and 181 return yards across Jacksonville's first five contests. With the first-year Jaguar sidelined for at least next four games, expect Parker Washington to serve as Jacksonville's top kick and punt returner.

Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: Dealing with lower-body injury
Duvernay sustained a lower-body injury in Sunday's 37-34 win over the Colts, Garry Smits of The Jacksonville Florida Times-Union reports.
Duvernay played a significant role in the Jaguars' Week 5 win, as his 53-yard punt return set up a Tank Bigsby touchdown run in the third quarter. Head coach Doug Pederson sounded concerned about Duvernay when discussing the Jaguars' injuries Monday, explaining that Duvernay is "going to be the big one." If the Texas product is unable to suit up in Week 6, expect Parker Washington to assume Jacksonville's top kick- and punt-return duties.

Jaguars' Devin Duvernay: One reception in exhibition win
Duvernay caught his lone target for 15 yards during Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers.
Duvernay joined the Jaguars on a two-year, $8.5 million contract in March and is expected to serve as their primary return man in 2024. The 26-year-old totaled 880 receiving yards and five touchdowns with Baltimore from 2020 to 2022, but he recorded just four catches for 18 yards last season before hitting free agency. Duvernay isn't likely to be consistently involved in Jacksonville's passing game this year and is competing with Parker Washington for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart.
