Buccaneers' Mike Greene: Healthy again
Greene is healthy after missing practice with a right leg issue earlier in training camp.
The defensive lineman played 27 snaps on defense and one on special teams in Tampa Bay's preseason game against Miami on Friday. Greene is listed as a backup on the Buccaneers' depth chart. The second-year pro played on 162 defensive snaps and 38 special teams snaps across 10 regular-season games in 2023, making six tackles.

Buccaneers' Mike Greene: Misses practice with leg injury
Greene was held out of practice Monday due to a right leg issue, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Auman notes that Greene had a sleeve on his right leg while also suggesting that the injury doesn't appear to be serious. Greene didn't play at all after Week 11 last season due to a calf issue, but it's not clear if his current leg injury is related. He's competing for a rotational role on Tampa Bay's defensive line.

Buccaneers' Mike Greene: Participating in practice
Greene (calf) was seen participating in Sunday's practice session, Christopher O'Meara of the Citizen Tribune reports.
Greene sat out for the Bucs' final nine games of the 2023 season -- including two playoff contests -- due to a calf injury he sustained during practice leading up to Week 12 against the Colts. It appears he's fully recovered from the injury, and he is battling for a depth spot at defensive end behind starters Calijah Kancey and Logan Hall. Across his 10 outings last season, Greene recorded six tackles (two solo) while playing 162 snaps on defense and 38 snaps on special teams.

Buccaneers' Mike Greene: Remaining on IR
Greene (calf) had his 21-day practice window expire Wednesday and he will remain on injured reserve for the rest of the postseason, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Greene was designated to return from IR on Dec. 27, but his practice window has now come and gone without him being added to the active roster. The defensive tackle recorded six tackles over 10 games with Tampa Bay in 2023 and he'll now shift his focus to being ready to go for the 2024 campaign.

Buccaneers' Mike Greene: Downgraded to out
Greene will not play in Sunday's game in Indianapolis due to a calf injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
It is unclear when Greene picked up his calf injury, as he was absent from the injury report during the week. However, it is severe enough to keep him in Tampa Bay instead of traveling with the team to Indy. With Logan Hall (illness) questionable, the Bucs are potentially looking thin at defensive end.

Buccaneers' Mike Greene: Inks new deal with Tampa Bay
The Buccaneers signed Greene to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Greene, an undrafted rookie defensive tackle from James Madison, spent the entire campaign on Tampa Bay's practice squad without ever receiving an elevation to the team's active roster. He'll now stick around with the Buccaneers and compete for a roster spot heading into next season.
