Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Unable to suit up Thursday
Kneeland (knee) is inactive for Thursday's Week 13 contest against the Giants.
Kneeland's inactive status was expected, as he entered Thursday deemed doubtful to play after not practicing all week. It will be the rookie defensive end's sixth absence in Dallas' past seven games after he underwent knee surgery in early October. With Kneeland out Thursday, Tyrus Wheat could see more defensive work in a rotational role.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Unlikely to play against Giants
Kneeland (knee) did not practice Wednesday and is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Kneeland returned from a five-game absence due to a knee injury this past Sunday against the Commanders, and he finished the contest without recording a tackle across 17 defensive snaps. However, he was unable to participate in any walkthroughs or practices this week, and it's unlikely that he'll play in Thursday's NFC East clash. If Kneeland is inactive, Tyrus Wheat and Carl Lawson would serve as the Cowboys' rotational defensive ends behind starters Micah Parsons and Chauncey Golston.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Logs back-to-back DNPs
Kneeland (knee) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.
Kneeland returned from a five-game absence against the Commanders in Week 12 and did not record a stat across 17 snaps on defense. He was held out of walkthroughs Monday and Tuesday, but if he's able to practice Wednesday, that should be enough for him to play against the Giants on Thursday.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Making return Sunday
Kneeland is not among Dallas' inactives for Sunday's Week 12 game against Washington, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Kneeland missed the Cowboys' last five games following knee surgery, but he was activated off IR on Saturday and is set to suit up against the Commanders. The rookie's workload had been inconsistent prior to his injury, as he had logged between 17 percent and 55 percent of Dallas' defensive snaps over the first four weeks. Kneeland will likely continue to play a rotational role now that he's back in action.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Activated off IR
The Cowboys activated Kneeland (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, and he is expected to play against the Commanders on Sunday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Kneeland suffered a partially torn meniscus in his knee during the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Steelers, which required him to undergo surgery and be placed on injured reserve. His 21-day practice window opened Wednesday, and after logging limited practices all week, he was activated off IR on Saturday. Kneeland could see limited snaps on defense Sunday while working his way back up to game speed following a five-game absence.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Window opens
Kneeland (knee) has been designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Kneeland suffered a partially torn lateral meniscus in early October and had a four- to six-week recovery timeline. With six weeks now passed, the Western Michigan product appears to be on the verge of returning. He will have a 21-day window to practice with the team before needing to be placed back on the active roster, however, he could return as soon as Sunday against the Commanders, if he's healthy enough to do so.
