Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Enters concussion protocol
Knight (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Rams.
Knight took a hit to the head while covering on a kickoff in the first quarter and will not return after being diagnosed with a concussion. Chazz Surratt and Patrick O'Connell will be the backup inside linebackers for the rest of Sunday's game in Knight's absence.

Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Under observation for concussion
Knight is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 11 game against the Rams.
Knight was evaluated after making a huge hit during a kick return in the first quarter. His role on defense was likely to lessen this week with Ernest Jones returning from a knee injury.

Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Dominant in Week 10 win
Knight tallied eight tackles (six solo), including 2.0 sacks, and forced two fumbles that were both returned for touchdowns Sunday in a 44-22 win against Arizona.
Knight made a huge impact early, as he sacked Jacoby Brissett less than six minutes into the game and forced a fumble that was recovered for a touchdown by DeMarcus Lawrence. Knight remarkably repeated that effort early in the second quarter, again sacking Brissett and forcing another fumble that Lawrence returned for a second TD. Knight's opportunity came as a result of Ernest Jones missing the contest with a knee injury. Since Jones was hurt in Week 9 against Washington, Knight has tallied 18 tackles (including Sunday's 2.0 sacks) across two games.

Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Double-digit tackles in win
Knight recorded 10 tackles (four solo) in the Seahawks' win over the Commanders on Sunday night.
With Ernest Jones (knee) going down in the first half against Washington, Knight logged 37 defensive snaps and posted a season-high 10 tackles. The second-year linebacker has now recorded double-digit stops four times across 24 career regular-season contests. If Jones is unable to play Week 10 against the Cardinals, Knight would figure to be in line to start at linebacker.

Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Should be ready for season opener
Knight (knee) is expected to be ready by Week 1 against the 49ers, head coach Mike Macdonald said Thursday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Knight's status for the start of the season was previously up in the air as he dealt with a medical issue in addition to a knee injury, but Macdonald's latest update struck an optimistic tone. The starting linebacker won't play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Packers but should be ready prior to the regular-season opener Sept. 7.

Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: To miss a few weeks
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Saturday that Knight (knee) will miss a "couple weeks" and is dealing with a "medical issue" in addition to his knee injury, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Macdonald declined to specify the exact nature of Knight's knee injury or medical issue, but it at least appears the second-year pro is expected to be back in action ahead of Week 1. It remains to be seen, though, whether Knight will be cleared to suit up in either of Seattle's two remaining preseason games. He sat out Thursday's preseason opener against the Raiders, a 23-23 tie.

Knight did not participate in Tuesday's training camp practice due to a knee injury, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Knight observed Tuesday's practice in street clothes after injuring his knee during Monday's session. The 2024 fourth-rounder started in nine of 16 regular-season games in his rookie campaign (seven of which came over the Seahawks' final eight contests) and finished with 88 tackles (41 solo), including 1.5 sacks, two pass defenses and one fumble recovery. He's listed as the starting WLB on the Seahawks' unofficial depth chart.
