Jets' Olu Fashanu: Gets green light
Fashanu (toe) is good to go for Sunday's game in Miami, Randy Lange of the team's official website reports.
Fashanu injured his toe in last week's loss to the Seahawks. However, it looks like the injury is not severe enough to keep the rookie sidelined in Week 13. As a result, look for the first-round pick to take on his usual workload.

Jets' Olu Fashanu: Questionable for Week 14
Fashanu (toe) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins.
Fashanu, a 2024 first-round pick from Penn State, appears to have sustained a toe injury in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Seahawks that's put his availability Sunday in jeopardy. The 22-year-old practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week, but if he can't play through the issue Week 14, expect Max Mitchell or Carter Warren to start at left tackle.

Jets' Olu Fashanu: Practicing in full
Fashanu was a full participant during OTAs on Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Fashanu had been recovering from strained quadriceps he sustained while running the 40-yard dash at the combine, but he's now back up to full speed. The Jets will probably want to find a way to get him involved early and often this season after using the 11th overall pick to acquire him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Recovering from quad injury
Fashanu strained his quadriceps while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and could miss some or all of OTAs due to the injury, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Rosenblatt described the injury as minor, so Fashanu should be recovered well before the start of the regular season, but the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft may not be ready to join his new teammates at the start of offseason workouts. The offensive tackle out of Penn State has been working off to the side with trainers during the Jets' rookie minicamp.

Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Lands with Jets
The Jets selected Fashanu in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 11th overall.
Fashanu is an interesting choice for a Jets team that is built to win now and also added veteran tackles in Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses this offseason. However, given the age and contracts of those vets, getting a tackle for the future does make sense. Fashanu, who was teammates with Caleb Williams in high school, starred at Penn State as a three-year starter at left tackle. He could have left school after the 2022 season and been selected in the first round but went back to Happy Valley for one more year and became a consensus All-American for the second time. He did not allow a sack in his 29 appearances and tested well at the combine. Fashanu can either be brought along slowly by the Jets or challenge for a starting spot somewhere along the offensive line this year.
