Falcons' Darnell Mooney: Standout night in OT victory
Mooney brought in nine of 16 targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Mooney led the Falcons in receiving touchdowns and targets on the night while checking in second in catches and receiving yards to Drake London. The speedster found the end zone from 24 and 12 yards out in the second and fourth quarters, respectively, his second and third touchdowns of the season and Atlanta tenure. However, as good as Mooney's night was, it could have been marred by a drop of a very catchable third-down pass just past the midway point of the fourth quarter that was followed by a blocked Younghoe Koo field-goal attempt. Ultimately, the Falcons' victory and Mooney's 17-yard grab on his team's game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter helped ensure the gaffe would be insignificant, and the fifth-year pro appears to have burgeoning chemistry with Kirk Cousins heading into a Week 6 road battle against the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Bounce-back effort in OT win
Pitts brought in seven of eight targets for 88 yards in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Pitts finished third in receptions and receiving yards on a prolific passing night for the Falcons offense, generating a receiving line that also served as a season-best one across the board. Much like teammate Bijan Robinson, another player with a rich skill set that transcends his position, Pitts' usage has been the subject of much consternation by team fans and fantasy managers alike. Thursday night's numbers was therefore highly encouraging, but whether it will have any long-term carryover is a question that will begin to be answered in a Week 6 road divisional clash with the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Compiles 76 total yards in win
Robinson rushed 12 times for 61 yards and brought in all three targets for 16 yards in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Robinson was disappointingly limited to his second-lowest carry total of the season, although he at least saw an appreciable uptick from the seven rush attempts he'd logged in Week 4 against the Saints. The second-year back did extend his season-opening streak of games with multiple receptions, but after five games in new coordinator Zac Robinson's offense, many of the same frustrations related to sub-optimal leveraging of Bijan's skill set persist as he awaits his first 20-carry game. The Falcons did take an unusually pass-heavy approach Thursday night -- Kirk Cousins put the ball up 59 times -- so perhaps Robinson will see a larger workload in a highly favorable Week 6 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Falcons' Drake London: Dominant showing in OT win
London brought in 12 of 13 targets for 154 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
London led the Falcons in receptions and receiving yards on the night while checking in second to Darnell Mooney in targets, serving as the biggest beneficiary of Kirk Cousins' record-setting 509-yard performance. The talented third-year wideout opened the scoring on the night as well, recording an 18-yard touchdown grab to cap off the opening possession. London now has three touchdowns in the last four games and double-digit targets in back-to-back contests, displaying a level of chemistry with Cousins that fantasy managers had envisioned when investing draft capital this summer. London will next take aim at a vulnerable Panthers defense in a Week 6 road divisional clash on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Falcons' Kirk Cousins: Record-setting night in win
Cousins completed 42 of 58 passes for 509 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Cousins was in prolific form right from the onset, capping off the opening possession of the night with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Drake London. The veteran signal-caller would strike again early in the second quarter via a 24-yard scoring toss to Darnell Mooney, and Cousins would connect with the speedster again in the fourth quarter from 12 yards away. However, Cousins' most impactful throw came just 1:15 into overtime, when he hit KhaDarel Hodge on a 45-yard catch and run that served as his fourth touchdown pass of the night and sealed the victory while propelling him to a franchise-record single-game yardage total. Cousins did throw what could have been a back-breaking interception with 1:52 remaining in regulation and the Falcons down three, but Atlanta was able to get the ball back in time to mount a nine-play march that culminated in a game-tying 52-yard field goal by Younghoe Koo. Cousins ultimately facilitated two 100-yard performances by his receivers (London and Mooney) and also showed encouraging chemistry with Kyle Pitts by hitting him on seven occasions for 88 yards. After a relatively pedestrian first four games in coordinator Zac Robinson's offense, Cousins clearly broke through with an all-time performance Thursday, and it remains to be seen how much of the massive momentum will carry over into a Week 6 road matchup against the vulnerable Panthers defense on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Falcons' Drake London: Being evaluated for head injury
London exited Thursday's game against Tampa Bay and is being evaluated for a head injury, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
London got off to a quick start, racking up three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown. Falcons' Dee Alford: Departs Thursday with head injury
Alford is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Thursday's contest versus Tampa Bay, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Alford was hurt in the first quarter while making a tackle of Chris Godwin. Antonio Hamilton entered as the Falcons' nickel corner in Alford's stead and will likely be asked to hold down that role if the latter is unable to return.

Falcons' Jase McClellan: Won't play vs. Bucs
McClellan (illness) is inactive ahead of Thursday's game against the Buccaneers, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
McClellan popped up on the Falcons' injury report Wednesday due to an illness, and it appears to be severe enough to keep him sidelined for Thursday's contest. His next chance at suiting up will be Week 6 against the Panthers. The rookie sixth-round pick has yet to play in a regular-season game this year.
