Top Panthers News

  • Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Continues to underwhelm Sunday

Tremble was not targeted during Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.

The 25-year-old was Carolina's only active tight end who failed to draw a target in Sunday's loss, while Ja'Tavion Sanders caught all five of his targets for 32 yards and Mitchell Evans couldn't catch his lone look. Over the Panthers last four games, Tremble has caught just two of three targets for four yards, cementing his status as a blocker rather than a receiving threat. He'll likely maintain a similar role in the Week 11 matchup against the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Xavier Legette: Blanks in Week 10

Legette was targeted just once and didn't record a reception in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.

The second-year wideout from South Carolina went without a catch for the first time this season in the Week 10 loss. He was overshadowed by Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, who led Carolina's wide receivers with 60 and 21 yards, respectively. Since Legette's breakout performance in the Week 7 win over the Jets (9-92-1), he's caught just three of seven targets for 39 yards over the past three games. With the Panthers' passing attack continuing to struggle, Legette likely won't carry much fantasy value in the Week 11 matchup against the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Jalen Coker: Logs 21 yards Sunday

Coker caught three of four targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.

The second-year pro from Holy Cross turned in a solid performance Sunday, especially considering quarterback Bryce Young finished with just 124 passing yards. Coker logged the third-most receiving yards on the Panthers in Week 10, trailing Tetairoa McMillan (60 yards) and Ja'Tavion Sanders (32 yards). The 24-year-old has now played in four games since returning from a quadriceps injury, catching seven of 11 targets for 66 yards. He's expected to remain Carolina's No. 3 wideout and carry minimal fantasy value in the Week 11 matchup against the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Just four touches in Week 10

Hubbard carried the ball three times for 14 yards and caught his only target for one yard in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.

The touch and yardage totals were season lows for Hubbard, as he continues to see a massively reduced role with Rico Dowdle getting a look as the clear top option in the Carolina backfield. Hubbard might need an injury to Dowdle to have real fantasy relevance again, as he's managed only 32 scrimmage yards total over the last two games. Hubbard may not need a lot of touches to make a splash in Week 11 against a Falcons defense that just got torched by Jonathan Taylor for 244 rushing yards and three TDs.

  • Panthers' Ja'Tavion Sanders: Five receptions against Saints

Sanders caught all five of his targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to New Orleans.

It was the second-highest reception total of the season for the second-year tight end, after a 7-54-0 line in Week 2. Sanders is still looking for his first touchdown of 2025, and Carolina's limited passing attack might not give him many opportunities to end that drought. Sanders will take a 20-148-0 line on 25 targets through seven games into a Week 11 clash with the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Five grabs in Sunday's loss

McMillan caught five of eight targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.

The rookie wideout continues to be the most reliable downfield option in an underpowered Panthers passing attack. McMillan has at least three receptions in every game so far this year, putting together a 46-618-2 line on 77 targets in nine contests. He'll look for his first TD since Week 6 in a Week 1 clash with the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Rico Dowdle: Finds end zone in Week 10 loss

Dowdle carried the ball 18 times for 53 yards and a touchdown and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.

The yardage total was Dowdle's lowest since he took on a significant role in the Panthers' backfield in Week 5, but he did score his fifth rushing TD of the season on a five-yard dash in the first quarter for the team's only score. Over his last six games, Dowdle has piled up 705 rushing yards and four touchdowns while adding a 13-122-1 line on 17 targets. He'll look to staying productive in Week 11 against the Falcons.

  • Panthers' Bryce Young: Poor showing against Saints

Young completed 17 of 25 passes for 124 yards and an interception in Sunday's 17-7 loss to New Orleans. He added six rushing yards on two carries.

The third-year QB failed to produce a touchdown for the second straight game, while extending his streak of games with under 200 passing yards to seven. Young remains a desperation play in most fantasy formats given his limited ceiling, heading into a Week 11 trip to Atlanta.

  • Panthers' Princely Umanmielen: Exits after brief return

Umanmielen (groin) returned to Sunday's game against the Saints before leaving again in the second half, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Umanmielen initially left Sunday's game due to a groin injury. He was cleared to return to the contest but appeared to aggravate the injury in the second half and was unable to come back for a second time. Umanmielen's practice participation over the coming days will be worth monitoring ahead of the Panthers' Week 11 clash against the Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 16.

  • Panthers' Mitchell Evans: Returns to game

Evans (ankle) has returned to Sunday's game against the Saints, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.

The tight end injured his ankle earlier in the first half, walked off under his own power and briefly went to the locker room. The injury must not have been serious, as it didn't take long for Evans to return to the contest.

  • Panthers' Mitchell Evans: Questionable to return Sunday

Evans has an ankle injury and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Saints, Kassidy Hill of the Panthers' official site reports.

The tight end was able to walk off the field but had to go "straight to the locker room," per Hill. Evans had one target and no catches before leaving the field. He has nine grabs for 90 yards and two scores on the year.

  • Panthers' Princely Umanmielen: Questionable to return Sunday

Umanmielen has a groin injury and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Saints, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.

The depth linebacker did not record a stat before leaving the contest. Umanmielen entered the day with nine tackles (five solo), including 1.5 sacks, on the year.

  • Panthers' Hunter Renfrow: Healthy scratch Sunday

Renfrow (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

The wide receiver is now a healthy scratch for the fourth consecutive week as Carolina continues to ride a receiving corps led by Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker. Renfrow has 15 catches for 89 yards and two scores in six games this season.

  • Panthers' Brycen Tremayne: Inactive Sunday

Tremayne (hip) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Saints, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

The wide receiver popped up on the injury report Thursday, when had to miss practice, but he upgraded to full participation the next day. With Hunter Renfrow a healthy scratch for Sunday, the Panthers are riding with Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, Jimmy Horn and Dan Chisena as their wide receivers. Tremayne has 10 catches for 116 yards and no touchdowns on the year.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Suiting up Sunday

McMillan (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday against the Saints, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

After McMillan was added to the Panthers' Week 10 practice report Friday as a limited participant due to a hamstring injury, coach Dave Canales expressed "concern" for the rookie wide receiver's status due to something that "popped up" during drills, per Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer. McMillan thus took a questionable designation into the weekend, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday evening that he was expected to suit up for Sunday's game, which has come to pass. It's unclear if McMillan will have a cap on his snaps, but considering New Orleans' defense has allowed the fourth-most TDs (11) and 10th-most yards per target (8.3) to opposing WRs in nine contests this season, he's a decent enough bet to take advantage of any looks he gets from QB Bryce Young.
