Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Secures two catches in loss
Flournoy caught two of four targets for 22 yards in Sunday night's 28-20 loss to the Giants.
Flournoy started the contest, playing 41 of the team's 58 offensive snaps while operating as the No. 3 wide receiver behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Flournoy saw four or more targets only five times over 16 regular-season contests in 2025, and he'll have a limited ceiling as fantasy asset as long as Pickens and Lamb are available.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Quiet in Week 1
Ferguson caught both of his targets for six yards during Sunday night's 28-20 loss to the Giants.
Ferguson along with quarterback Dak Prescott, amongst others, did not play during the preseason, and the team never really got into a groove on offense in Week 1. The tight end remains the unquestioned No. 1 option at his position with Dallas, and he'll have a chance to be more involved in Week 2 against Washington.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Set to miss 1-2 weeks
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that Overshown is expected to miss 1-2 weeks due to the hamstring injury he sustained during Sunday's loss against the Giants, Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network reports.
Overshown was forced out of the Cowboys' regular-season debut early with a hamstring issue, and it seems like he'll likely have to sit out at least one game as he recovers. Any time he spends on the sidelines could open up additional time at linebacker for rookie third-rounder Jaishawn Barham.

Cowboys' Malik Hooker: Dealing with forearm fracture
Hooker was diagnosed with a forearm fracture after undergoing tests Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The safety left Sunday's loss to the Giants in the fourth quarter and did not return. He seems likely to miss at least two weeks, according to Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News. P.J. Locke and Markquese Bell would be the next two up at safety if Hooker has to sit for an extended period.

Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey: Misses PAT in Week 1 loss
Aubrey made just two of three extra-point attempts in Sunday night's 28-20 loss to the Giants.
The big-legged kicker didn't attempt a field goal against New York. His missed PAT came after a Javonte Williams touchdown in which he also picked up a taunting penalty to push Aubrey's extra-point try back to a 48-yard attempt. Widely drafted as the top kicker in fantasy this summer, Aubrey's Week 1 was less than ideal. He finished as fantasy's No. 4 overall kicker in points per game last season.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Held to 175 passing yards in loss
Prescott completed 22 of 34 passes for 175 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Giants. He also rushed twice for 14 yards.
Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb for a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter and found Javonte Williams for a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth. Prescott's interception in the final minute of the first half proved costly, as the Giants scored a go-ahead touchdown six plays later and led the rest of the way. Lamb finished with just 44 yards and George Pickens had only 28, as Dallas' talented passing game was stuck in first gear. Prescott, who finished third in the league with 4,552 passing yards during the 2025 regular season, will try to pick up the pace in Dallas' Week 2 home opener against the Commanders.

Cowboys' Javonte Williams: Scores twice in Week 1 loss
Williams rushed 12 times for 41 yards and a touchdown while catching all five of his targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Giants.
Williams scored a one-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter and added a 17-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. He was called for a 15-yard taunting penalty on his touchdown catch, and Brandon Aubrey missed the ensuing PAT to keep Dallas' deficit at eight points with 5:21 remaining, though that miss proved moot after the Giants proceeded to eat up the remainder of the game clock on the ensuing possession. No Cowboys teammate had more than two carries in Sunday's loss, so Williams is locked in as the primary option in Dallas' backfield heading into a Week 2 home game against the Commanders.

Cowboys' George Pickens: Kept in check by Giants
Pickens caught three of six targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Giants.
Pickens had a couple drops in Sunday night's underwhelming season-opening performance. He was also quiet Week 1 last season with a 30-yard receiving performance against the Eagles, but Pickens went on to post career highs with 1,429 receiving yards and nine TDs during the 2025 regular season. The talented wide receiver has a nice rebound opportunity coming up Week 2 against a Washington secondary that was among the league's leakiest in 2025.

Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Scores in Week 1 loss on SNF
Lamb caught five of eight targets for 44 yards and a touchdown while adding one carry for no gain in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Giants.
Lamb led the team in targets and receiving yards, as Dak Prescott threw for only 175 yards in a subpar Week 1 showing from Dallas' talented passing game. It was encouraging to see Lamb find the end zone in the season opener after he scored a career-low three touchdowns across 14 appearances during the 2025 regular season. Lamb had at least six total TDs in each of the preceding five campaigns, and he got on the board with a one-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter against the Giants. The Cowboys will aim to bounce back in their Week 2 home opener against the Commanders.

Cowboys' Malik Hooker: Suffers forearm injury
Hooker exited Sunday night's game against the Giants with a forearm injury and will not return, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Hooker left the game in the fourth quarter and recorded just one solo tackle prior to his departure. P.J. Locke and Markquese Bell are next in line for snaps at safety alongside Jalen Thompson.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Injures hamstring Sunday night
Overshown exited Sunday night's game against the Giants with a hamstring injury and is questionable to return, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Overshown left the game in the second half and was spotted on the sideline without his helmet, suggesting his night may be over. Prior to the injury, Overshown racked up seven tackles (one solo). Jaishawn Barham and Shemar James are next up at linebacker alongside Dee Winters.
