Jets' Michael Carter: Back to full speed
Carter (ankle) was a full participant at practice Tuesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Carter played through a lingering ankle injury during the first two weeks of the season, but it appears the issue is bothering him less as of recently. He could be in line for an expanded role in Week 3 versus the Patriots if D.J. Reed (knee) can't go.

Jets' Micheal Clemons: Appears set for Thursday start
Clemons is expected to start Thursday's divisional matchup against the Patriots with Jermaine Johnson (Achilles) out for the season and Haason Reddick (contract dispute) continuing to hold out, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports,
Clemons played 43 percent and 50 percent of the Jets' defensive snaps in first two games of the season, respectively, recording two tackles (one solo) including 1.0 sacks in Week 1 against the 49ers and one solo tackle versus the Titans in Week 2. Now primed for a start across from Will McDonald, Clemons faces a solid opportunity to take advantage of New England's struggling O-line and continue building his sack total versus Jacoby Brissett.

Jets' Jamien Sherwood: Notches 12 tackles in win
Sherwood recorded 12 total tackles (eight solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.
Sherwood saw an increase in usage when C.J. Mosley (toe) was forced to exit the contest, playing 54 of the team's 66 total defensive snaps. Sherwood compiled a career-high 12 stops as a result and could be asked to operate in a similar role in Week 3 if Mosley is unable to play in the team's matchup with the Patriots on Thursday Night Football.

Jets' Brandin Echols: Secures interception in win
Echols recorded five total tackles (four solo), an interception and a pass defensed in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.
Echols filled in for D.J. Reed (knee) as one of the New York's starting outside cornerbacks, picking off Will Levis in the second quarter. The 26-year-old played all 66 of the team's defensive snaps and will likely operate in a similar role if Reed is unable to go again on Thursday Night Football in Week 3 versus the Patriots.

Jets' Michael Carter: Limited Monday
Carter (ankle) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimation, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Robert Saleh told reporter earlier Monday that Carter's ankle injury will likely limit him throughout the season, so it's no surprise he was estimated as a limited participant Monday. The Duke product was able to play through the issue in Week 2, but if that's not the case in Week 3, expect Qwan'tez Stiggers and Brandin Echols to see increased snaps in the Jets' secondary.

Jets' C.J. Mosley: Estimated as DNP
Mosley (toe) was listed as non-participant on Monday's practice estimation, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Mosley left Sunday's win over the Titans with a toe injury, and after Monday's DNP estimation, he could be in jeopardy of missing more time. However, head coach Robert Saleh told reporters Monday morning that he's optimistic that Mosely will suit up for Thursday night's divisional matchup with the Patriots. If Mosley needs more time to recover by Thursday, Chazz Surratt and Sam Eguavoen will be set to see increased work with New York's first-team defense.

Jets' D.J. Reed: Estimated as limited
Reed (knee) was listed as limited in Monday's practice estimation, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Reed was unable to suit up for the Jets' Week 2 win due to a lingering knee issue and is expected to remain limited throughout the week with New York playing Thursday night. If the 27-year-old still has not recovered in time for Week 3's matchup with the Patriots, Brandin Echols and Qwan'tez Stiggers project to see more work with the Jets' first-team secondary.
