Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Tallies in Thursday's loss
Andersson scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Andersson's goal came late in the third period -- too late to make a difference in the result. He has three points over his last eight outings, but offense has been hard to come by on one of the lower-scoring teams in the league. For the season, the 28-year-old defenseman is at eight goals, 21 points, 108 shots on net, 127 blocked shots, 48 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 54 appearances.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Produces power-play assist
Andersson notched a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.
Andersson has two points, 12 PIM and 10 blocked shots over his last six outings. His offense has been sporadic at best since the start of November, but he's remained a defensive stalwart for the Flames. The 28-year-old is up to 20 points (seven on the power play), 104 shots on net, 123 blocks, 48 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 52 contests in a top-four role.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Ends goal drought
Andersson scored a power-play goal, added four PIM and logged two hits in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Wild.
Andersson was a thorn in the Wild's side all game, especially after shoving Marc-Andre Fleury in the mask during a net-front scrum. The defenseman got the last laugh with a goal in the second period, ending his slump of seven contests without a point and 20 games without a goal. His poor January has done a number on his overall production -- he has seven tallies, 19 points (six on the power play), 92 shots on net, 114 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 47 appearances. He's among the top shot-blockers in the league and needs to be rostered in fantasy formats that count that category, but the rest of his numbers remain pedestrian.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Offers assist in loss
Andersson notched an assist in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.
Andersson picked up a helper for the second game in a row and the third time in five games. This was just the third time all season the defenseman did not block a shot. The 28-year-old is at 18 points, 74 shots on net, 101 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 39 appearances in a top-four role.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Picks up power-play helper
Andersson logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-3 loss to Utah.
Andersson has two helpers over his last four games, and both have come on the power play. He has just four points over his last 15 appearances, but as long as he remains involved with the man advantage, he'll have a decent chance of turning things around. The 28-year-old blueliner is at six goals, 11 assists, 73 shots on net, 100 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-9 rating through 38 contests this season.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Ends slump with power-play assist
Andersson logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sharks.
Andersson's helper ended his eight-game point drought. In that span, he went minus-10 with 20 shots on net and 14 blocked shots. Despite the slump, the 28-year-old defenseman didn't lose his place in the top four or on the second power-play unit, and he should get back to being productive moving forward. Overall, he has 16 points, 69 shots, 94 blocks, 26 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 35 outings this season.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Opens scoring with power-play goal
Andersson scored a power-play goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Blue Jackets.
Andersson has a modest four points over his last eight games, but three of them have come on the power play. His goal Tuesday stood as the game-winner. Andersson has been productive in a top-pairing role this season with six goals, 15 points (three on the power play), 47 shots on net, 77 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 26 appearances. His mix of offense and a little grit makes him a solid fantasy option.

Andersson has mostly played at his usual level in 2024-25 with 14 points, 42 shots on net, 75 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 24 appearances. He's a lock for top-four minutes and power-play time as one of the Flames' top blueliners.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Ties game on power play
Andersson scored a power-play goal on two shots, blocked three shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders.
Andersson tied the contest at 8:17 of the third period, ending his seven-game point drought with the goal. The 28-year-old defenseman was red-hot in October before his scoring pace dipped this month. Overall, he has five goals, 12 points, 36 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 19 appearances. That production is in line with his two best seasons, so all fantasy managers can ask for from Andersson is a bit more consistency.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Credited with helper
Andersson notched an assist, three shots on goal, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 3-0 win over the Devils.
Andersson had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, but he didn't let that turn into an extended slump. He received credit for the secondary helper on Blake Coleman's opening goal at 14:26 of the third period. Through 11 outings, Andersson has four goals, seven assists, 38 blocked shots, 19 shots on net and a plus-4 rating. It's still to be seen if this is a bounce-back season or just a hot start for the 28-year-old blueliner, giving fantasy managers a tough decision between riding his well-rounded production or selling high.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Deposits fourth goal
Andersson scored a goal on three shots, blocked two shots and added four PIM in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.
Andersson is one of four defensemen in the NHL to earn at least 10 points so far this season. He's done it with four goals and six assists over eight contests, including four points during his active three-game point streak. Andersson has also been strong in his own zone with 26 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating. After a down year of 39 points in 78 regular-season outings, he looks poised for a bounce-back campaign as a leader on the Flames' blue line.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: One of each in win
Andersson scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and blocked four shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins.
Andersson already has three multi-point efforts this season. He opened the scoring in the first period and then assisted on Nazem Kadri's game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation. Through six contests, Andersson has racked up three goals, five helpers, nine shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating. This scoring pace is a little too good to hold up in the long run, but the 27-year-old has displayed 50-point potential in recent years, so he should still be a steady option for fantasy managers.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Hands out assist in win
Andersson notched an assist, three blocked shots and two PIM in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Andersson continues to be a positive for the Flames early in the year, racking up six points, a plus-7 rating, six shots on net and 15 blocks over four contests. The 27-year-old defenseman is playing on the second pairing but has functioned as the No. 2 blueliner on the team. Andersson went 13 games without a multi-point effort to open 2023-24, but he already has two such efforts this year, which is setting him up well in an attempt to get back over the 40-point mark.

Andersson opened the scoring in the second period and then helped out on goals by Anthony Mantha and Justin Kirkland in the third. This was the second multi-point effort in three games for Andersson this season, as he is thriving despite a somewhat limited power-play role. He's added a plus-6 rating, five shots on net and 12 blocked shots while playing in a top-four role.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Two points in comeback win
Andersson scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and blocked six shots in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Canucks.
Andersson tallied in the second period and helped out on Connor Zary's game-winning goal in overtime. After producing just 39 points in 78 regular-season games in 2023-24, Andersson enters this season in line for a smaller role, particularly in regard to his power-play usage. He's slipped behind MacKenzie Weegar as the Flames' top blueliner, but Andersson can still push for the 40-point mark while adding hearty totals in shots on goal and blocked shots.

Flames' Rasmus Andersson: Earns 200th career point
Andersson logged an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
The helper was Andersson's 200th career point. The defenseman fell short of the 40-point mark for the first time in three years, ending 2023-24 with nine goals, 30 helpers, 159 shots on net, 186 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 78 appearances. Despite the drop in offense, he remains a top-four defenseman capable of taking minutes in all situations heading into 2024-25.
