Tanev scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
This was Tanev's first goal since he was traded to the Jets by the Kraken. He took some time to settle back in with the team that gave him his NHL debut in 2015-16, but he's picked up three points over his last four outings. He's added a little more oomph to the fourth line since the trade. The heavy-hitting winger has 20 points, 89 shots on net, 137 hits and a minus-9 rating over 67 appearances this season, making this his fourth campaign to reach the 20-point mark.

Tanev notched an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Canucks.
This was Tanev's second helper in the last three games. The 33-year-old winger looks to be settling in on the Jets' fourth line after filling a similar role -- albeit with more ice time -- during his time with the Kraken this season. Tanev can help fantasy managers chasing hits, and he adds a strong number of blocks for a forward, but his offense is likely to remain fairly limited.

Tanev picked up his first helper in four contests since the Jets acquired him from the Kraken. The 33-year-old winger has slotted into a fourth-line role, and his ice time per game is down by more than three minutes from what he was seeing with the Kraken. Tanev will likely take the reduced role since it comes with playing for a competitor. Jets' Brandon Tanev: Exchanged for draft pick
Tanev, who missed Thursday's 5-3 loss to Nashville for roster management purposes, was acquired by Winnipeg from Seattle on Friday in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick, per Darren Dreger of TSN.
Tanev has nine goals, 17 points, 122 hits and 91 blocks over 60 appearances in 2024-25. Although he doesn't do a lot offensively, his physicality is sure to be appreciated by the Jets during the playoffs. Tanev is expected to be utilized in a bottom-six capacity.
