Hofer stopped 22 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Nashville.
Hofer has won his past two starts, but even more impressive than the record has been his overall performance. He's stopped 39 of 41 shots faced over that two-game stretch. Over his last four appearances, Hofer has gone 2-0-1 with a 1.26 GAA and a .939 save percentage. He's not expected to takeover the starting role from Jordan Binnington, but he's proving to be a reliable option between the pipes every time the Blues have needed him.

Blues' Joel Hofer: Starting in Nashville
Hofer will tend the road twine Tuesday in Nashville, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Hofer was solid in Saturday's 5-1 win over Minnesota, turning aside 17 of 18 shots on goal. The Manitoba native has a 12-7-3 record, 2.78 GAA and .901 save percentage through 26 outings in 2024-25. He has a favorable assignment against a Nashville squad that has generated 2.58 goals per game this season, the second-worst mark in the NHL.

Hofer stopped 17 of 18 shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Wild.
Hofer took care of business in a game where the Wild were limited to just a Jake Middleton goal off a turnover in the second period. The 24-year-old Hofer picked up his first win since Feb. 27 versus the Capitals, though two of his three outings in March have been less than full games -- he was pulled from a start and made a brief relief appearance. The young netminder is now at 12-7-3 with a 2.78 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 26 appearances. Look for Jordan Binnington to get the start Sunday versus the Ducks.

Hofer will get the start Saturday after making a late relief appearance in Thursday's 5-3 loss to Pittsburgh. The 24-year-old Hofer has gone 11-7-3 with a .900 save percentage and a 2.87 GAA while backing up Jordan Binnington this season.

Blues' Joel Hofer: Makes relief appearance
Hofer stopped both shots he faced in relief of Jordan Binnington in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
Binnington was pulled after giving up a goal to Bryan Rust in the third period, and Hofer was barely tested after entering the contest. The Penguins' last tally was an empty-netter. Hofer has allowed seven goals on 52 shots over four appearances (three starts) since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, as the Blues have tried to ride the momentum of Binnington backstopping Canada to the tournament win. Hofer's likely to be limited to backup duties up until the point the Blues are eliminated from playoff contention, which could go down to the wire. However, a back-to-back this weekend -- at Minnesota on Saturday, at home versus the Ducks on Sunday -- should allow each netminder to get a start.

Blues' Joel Hofer: Falls short in overtime
Hofer stopped 21 of 23 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Kings.
Hofer was pulled from his previous start last Sunday versus the Stars after giving up three goals on nine shots. This was a much better performance, but he came up short when Quinton Byfield ripped home the game-winning goal 27 seconds into overtime. Hofer slipped to 3-4-2 over 11 appearances since the start of January, and he's now 11-7-3 with a 2.89 GAA and an .899 save percentage over 24 appearances this season. The Blues play three games in four days for the next fantasy week, including a back-to-back next weekend, so look for Hofer to get another start in that span.

Hofer stopped six of nine shots in the first period of Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Stars.
He got a bit of a quick hook after one period with the Blues down 3-2. Hofer was spared the loss, as the Blues were able to cover his damage, though Jordan Binnington (nine saves on 12 shots) didn't have a good relief appearance. Hofer remains at 11-7-2 for the season, but his GAA rose from 2.83 to 2.93 while his save percentage dropped from .902 to .899 over 23 appearances. It's not a good start to the Blues' road trip, which continues with three games in California over the next week (two against Los Angeles, one against Anaheim). Hofer is likely to start one of those games.

Hofer was unable to snap his losing streak -- he's 0-3-1 over his last five outings, with 15 goals allowed in that span. This one will sting, as Pavel Buchnevich gave the Blues the lead with 2:50 to go, only for Gabriel Vilardi's second goal of the game to tie it with 28 seconds left in regulation. Hofer was then bested by Kyle Connor in the shootout after the Winnipeg winger came up short on 10 shots in the first 65 minutes. Hofer is down to 10-7-2 with a 2.88 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 21 appearances. He started Saturday to afford Jordan Binnington some rest after his time with Team Canada, but it's likely to be Binnington in goal against his fellow countrymen Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, as well as the rest of the Avalanche, for Sunday's contest.

Jordan Binnington isn't exactly dominating the crease, but Hofer's inconsistent play makes him a risky option in fantasy. The Blues wrap up this two-game road trip in Utah on Sunday.

Hofer allowed three goals on 30 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The fourth marker was an empty-netter.
The Blues were forced to chase the game early due to Mark Stone scoring after a Cam Fowler turnover just 19 seconds into the contest. Hofer would allow one more goal at even strength and one on the power play en route to his first loss since Jan. 4. Jordan Binnington has made twice as many starts as Hofer this season, but the latter's numbers have been marginally better, so it'll be interesting to see how head coach Jim Montgomery handles his goaltenders down the stretch.
