  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Three points on Broadway

Harley scored an even-strength goal and added two power-play assists in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers. He also chipped in a team-high six shots on net, two blocked shots and two PIM. Harley has found the back of the net in back-to-back games, and over the last four contests, he's piled up two goals and six points -- an impressive surge considering the 23-year-old blueliner hadn't gotten onto the scoresheet in consecutive games since late October. On the season, Harley has six goals and 21 points over 37 appearances with 85 shots, 44 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating that's tied for third among all NHL defensemen, behind only Brayden McNabb (plus-24) and Jake Middleton (plus-22).

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Nets overtime winner

Harley scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Utah. Harley scored at 3:01 of overtime to secure the win for the Stars. He had gone eight games without a goal and missed two contests due to an illness in that span. The 23-year-old defenseman has five goals, 18 points, 79 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating over 36 appearances. He hasn't quite replicated his 47-point breakout from the 2023-24 regular season, but Harley continues to log big minutes in all situations.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Dishes pair of assists

Harley logged two assists in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Sabres. Harley had a middling December -- he put up seven points over 12 contests with a plus-5 rating, but he only got on the scoresheet in four games. Three of those were multi-point efforts. The 23-year-old blueliner's role remains steady -- regardless of where he's listed, he sees top-four minutes and power-play time. He's at 17 points, 75 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating over 34 outings this season.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Provides helper in win

Harley notched an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 win over Utah. Harley picked up his first point since a two-goal game versus the Flames on Dec. 8. He missed two contests due to an illness in that span, but he's been right back in the top four since he returned from that absence. The 23-year-old defenseman is up to 15 points, 69 shots on net, 37 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 31 outings this season. He's on pace to fall short of his 47-point performance across 79 regular-season games last year, but he's still adding decent offense for a blueliner.

Harley (illness) will play Friday versus the Rangers, per the NHL media site. Harley's status came down to a true game-time decision, but he'll suit up after missing two contests. • Stars' Thomas Harley: Game-time call against Friday

Harley (illness) will once again be a game-time decision ahead of Friday's matchup with the Rangers, Brien Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports. The flu bug continues to hamper the Stars, with both Harley and Nils Lundkvist still in doubt Friday as a result. Lian Bichsel is the only spare blueliner for Dallas, which means the team is likely expecting either Harley or Lundkvist to play, otherwise the Stars might have to roll with just five defensemen.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Out again Wednesday

Harley (illness) is not expected to play Wednesday versus the Maple Leafs, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports. Harley will miss a second straight game with the flu bug that's going through the Stars' locker room. The 23-year-old defenseman's absence is a big one, especially with Nils Lundkvist also sick, which will lead to Brendan Smith and Alex Petrovic playing in Wednesday's contest. Harley's next chance to play is Friday versus the Rangers.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Game-time call Wednesday

Harley (illness) will likely be a game-time decision Wednesday versus Toronto, per Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine. Head coach Peter DeBoer said that the Stars will have some game-time decisions because the flu is making its way through the team. While Harley wasn't mentioned by name, it stands to reason that he'll be among those questionable after missing Monday's 3-1 win against Washington due to an illness. The 23-year-old defenseman has four goals and 14 points in 29 appearances in 2024-25.

He set up goals by Wyatt Johnston and Mason Marchment, with the latter's tally being the game-winner. Harley has four points over his last six contests, and he's up to two goals, 12 points, 48 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating through 23 appearances in a top-four role with time on the second power-play unit.

Harley scored a goal in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Hurricanes. Harley put the Stars ahead 2-1 in the first period. • Stars' Thomas Harley: Produces assist in win

Harley notched an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Bruins. Harley has three helpers over six games in November, providing steady scoring for a defenseman. The 23-year-old is up to eight points, 30 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 15 outings. The Stars are still toying around with their defensive pairings, but Harley continues to see significant minutes in all situations and should provide stable production throughout the campaign.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Points in three straight

Harley registered an assist and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Harley has earned a goal and two assists during his three-game point streak. The 23-year-old defenseman has five points, 19 shots on net, nine blocked shots, six hits and a plus-6 rating over nine appearances this season. That's a similar pace to last season, when he had 47 points in 79 regular-season outings. Harley is unlikely to shoot 10.4 percent as he did in 2023-24, but he should make up the difference with helpers.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Hands out helper

Harley recorded an assist, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Predators. Harley began 2024-25 on the second pairing with Ilya Lyubushkin, as the Stars look committed to balancing their defensive pairs with left-handed and right-handed shooters. In the playoffs last year, Harley and fellow lefty Miro Heiskanen often worked together on the top pair. The result here is likely less ice time for Harley, though he may also be able to contribute more offense with easier matchups. The 23-year-old was a standout in 2023-24 with 15 goals, 32 assists and 135 blocked shots in 79 regular-season appearances.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Helpers in consecutive games

Harley notched an assist and blocked six shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 5. The six blocks were one off Harley's playoff high. More notably, he got on the scoresheet for the second game in a row, assisting on a Wyatt Johnston tally in the third period to break up Stuart Skinner's shutout bid. Harley has been limited to four helpers over 18 playoff outings, but he's added 50 blocks, 27 shots on net and a plus-8 rating in a top-four role.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Bags apple in loss

Harley notched an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 4. The helper snapped a seven-game slump for Harley. The 22-year-old defenseman may be starting to feel the wear and tear of a full-length NHL season and a deep playoff run, as he's struggled to provide a strong two-way game in the playoffs. Harley has three helpers, 44 blocked shots, 27 shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-8 rating over 17 postseason contests. He was dropped to the second pairing Wednesday after spending a majority of the playoffs alongside Miro Heiskanen on the top pairing. There may be more shuffling ahead for the Stars' defense if Chris Tanev (lower body) can't suit up Friday in Game 5.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Sets up shortie

Harley logged a shorthanded assist and four shots on goal in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 2. Harley took a shot, and Tyler Seguin was able to knock in the rebound for the Stars' fourth goal. Both of Harley's helpers this postseason have come within the last three games. The 22-year-old blueliner is up to 18 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating while holding down a top-four role through nine playoff contests. Dallas has leaned heavily on its top defensemen, so Harley should continue to see massive minutes even if he's not a significant factor on offense.
