Top Blackhawks News

  • Blackhawks' Oliver Moore: Won't return to Sunday's game

Moore has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Stars due to an apparent injury, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.

Moore exited Sunday's matchup in the first period after going down with an undisclosed injury, and he was ruled out at the start of the second period after he wasn't on the bench following intermission. Prior to his departure, he recorded an assist in 1:49 of ice time. It's not yet clear whether his injury will force him to miss additional time.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Tending twine against Dallas

Soderblom will start Sunday's road game against Dallas, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Spencer Knight (illness) is unavailable for a second consecutive game Sunday, so Soderblom will start for the third time in the Blackhawks' last four matchups. Across his last two outings, he's gone 1-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .905 save percentage.

  • Blackhawks' Nathan Behm: Two goals, assist in Saturday's win

Behm scored twice and added an assist in WHL Kamloops' 6-2 win over Vancouver on Saturday.

Behm was in a bit of a rough patch, earning just two points over his last five games. The winger is up to 36 goals and 82 points through 61 outings this season. The Blackhawks prospect has made strides offensively in 2025-26 and should continue to be an integral part of the Blazers' scoring picture should they qualify for the WHL playoffs.

  • Blackhawks' Nick Lardis: Set to join Blackhawks

Lardis will be recalled from AHL Rockford, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports Saturday.

With head coach Jeff Blashill confirming that Drew Commesso and Nick Lardis will join the Blackhawks in Dallas on Sunday, an official call-up from the AHL is imminent for the latter. Lardis has thrived with Rockford this season, where he has 18 goals, 14 assists and 100 shots on net across 35 games. While he has just seven points across 21 games with Chicago this season, he'll have another chance to carve out a role in the majors following the trade deadline.

  • Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Scores early in loss

Donato scored a goal, added two PIM and logged two hits in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks.

Donato scored 1:08 into the game, but the Canucks had the next three tallies. This ended a five-game point drought for the 29-year-old forward. After the Blackhawks' sell-off at the trade deadline, Donato is one of the team's elder forwards, but he'll likely be limited to bottom-six minutes as the team sees what some prospects can do. He has 14 goals, 26 points, 90 shots on net, 68 hits and 36 PIM over 62 appearances this season, a far cry from his 31-goal, 62-point campaign last year.

  • Blackhawks' Drew Commesso: Set to join NHL club

Commesso will be recalled from AHL Rockford ahead of Sunday's road game against Dallas, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

Due to the absence of Spencer Knight (illness), Commesso will be an option for Sunday's matchup versus the Stars. The 23-year-old Commesso has stopped 55 of the 60 shots he has faced in two NHL outings this season while providing a 1-1-0 record and one shutout.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Unavailable for Sunday

Knight (illness) will not accompany the team to Dallas for Sunday's tilt, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

Knight missed Friday's game against Vancouver due to the illness. The hope is that he will be good to go Monday when Utah plays in Chicago. Knight is 16-18-8 with three shutouts, a 2.63 GAA and a .908 save percentage. The Blackhawks recalled Drew Commesso on Saturday, and he could start in Dallas on Sunday.

  • Blackhawks' Ilya Mikheyev: Scores, assists in loss

Mikheyev delivered a goal and an assist in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks.

The Russian winger cut Chicago's deficit to 3-2 late in the first period with a snap shot, and then added an assist in Frank Nazar's second-period tally. The 31-year-old Mikheyev, who snapped a five-game point drought with this performance, has 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) on the season.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Records two points in loss

Nazar had a goal, an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a minus-2 rating in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks.

Nazar assisted Ryan Donato's goal in the first period and also evened things up late in the second frame with a tip-in, giving him eight goals on the season. Nazar has now cracked the scoresheet in back-to-back games, something he hadn't achieved since Jan. 29 and Jan. 30. With this two-point performance, the 22-year-old has set a new career-high mark in points with 27 -- he notched 26 points in 53 games last season. He's also just four goals away from matching his career-best output in that category as well.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Gives up four goals in loss

Soderblom stopped 16 of 20 shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks. The final two goals were empty-netters.

Soderblom has won just two of his six starts since the beginning of January. The results haven't been encouraging either, as the 26-year-old netminder owns a 2-3-1 mark with an .885 save percentage in that stretch. Settled into the No. 2 role behind Spencer Knight, Soderblom is better suited to be a matchup-based, streaming alternative in most formats outside of the very deep ones.

  • Blackhawks' Jack Pridham: Two more goals Friday

Pridham scored twice in OHL Kitchener's 3-0 win over Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.

This was his second two-goal game in a row. Pridham crossed the 40-goal mark for the season -- he has 41 tallies and 83 points in 60 outings. He ranks second in the OHL in goals and third in points, making this a fantastic breakout year for the 20-year-old. He was committed to Boston University when he was drafted in 2024 but opted to stay in the junior ranks. He has yet to sign his entry-level deal, so he has plenty of options open heading into 2026-27.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Not available Friday

Knight (illness) won't suit up for Friday's game versus the Canucks, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.

Knight will miss at least one game, and Arvid Soderblom will start Friday. Caydon Edwards is the emergency backup goalie for this contest but shouldn't be expected to see the ice unless Soderblom gets hurt. Knight's status for Sunday in Dallas is not yet clear, but the Blackhawks would likely dip into their depth at AHL Rockford if he is still sick over the weekend.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Starting Friday

Soderblom will guard the home goal versus the Canucks on Friday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Soderblom will get a start in a soft matchup against the NHL's worst team. The 26-year-old posted a 22-save shutout over the Mammoth in his last outing. This is the kind of game where Soderblom is a viable streaming and DFS option for fantasy managers.

  • Blackhawks' Derrick Pouliot: Traded Friday

Pouliot was acquired by the Blackhawks from the Rangers in exchange for Aidan Thompson on Friday, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.

Pouliot has significantly more NHL experience than Thompson, who has never played in an NHL game, but Pouliot hasn't featured at that level since 2023-24, when he was with Dallas. Still, the Hawks could bring him up for the end of the season in order to see what he has to offer and to provide some veteran experience on a young blue line.

  • Blackhawks' Andrew Mangiapane: Set to make team debut Friday

Mangiapane (not injury related) is available for Friday's game against Vancouver, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Mangiapane was traded to Chicago from Edmonton on Wednesday, but his status for Friday's matchup was in question due to his visa application. However, he'll officially be able to make his first appearance with his new team. The 29-year-old has made 52 appearances for the Oilers this year, recording seven goals, seven assists, 51 hits, 36 PIM and 19 blocked shots while averaging 12:36 of ice time.

  • Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Ready to rock

Teravainen (undisclosed) will be in the lineup Friday against the Canucks, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Teravainen was thought to be questionable after he tweaked a pre-existing injury at practice Thursday, but he has been cleared to play. Teravainen has 13 goals and 15 helpers in 54 contests this season, including three goals in his last two appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Kevin Korchinski: Sent down Thursday

Korchinski was assigned to AHL Rockford on Thursday.

Korchinski was called up by the Blackhawks late in the Olympic break, and he appeared in two of Chicago's four games following the layoff. He's made four total appearances for the Blackhawks this year, recording no goals, an assist, three blocked shots and a hit while averaging 11:42 of ice time. He should have more consistent opportunities to make an impact in the minors.
