Blackhawks' Craig Smith: Set to miss out Monday
Smith (back) is not expected to be available against the Flames on Monday, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.
Smith will be shelved for his third consecutive contest due to his recurring back problem. Even when healthy, the veteran winger has managed just 11 points in 30 appearances and may fail to get over the 30-point threshold for the third straight year.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Facing Flames
Mrazek will protect the home net versus Calgary on Monday, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.
Mrazek has one win in his last nine appearances (1-7-0), allowing 32 goals on 226 shots. He has posted a record of 8-15-1 with a 3.17 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 25 games this season. Calgary sits 27th in the league with 2.61 goals per game.

Blackhawks' Alec Martinez: Earns assist in return
Martinez logged an assist and three hits in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
Martinez missed 15 games due to a neck injury. He logged 18:56 of ice time in his return to action, which came in a top-four role. Martinez is unlikely to be a regular contributor on offense, but he could help fantasy managers as a blocked-shot specialist. He has five points, 39 blocks, 16 shots on net and a minus-8 rating over 16 appearances.

Blackhawks' Taylor Hall: Offers helper in loss
Hall notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
Hall ended a three-game slump when he helped out on a Ryan Donato tally in the second period. The 33-year-old Hall has slipped into a bottom-six role lately, which could hurt his scoring numbers. He's at 22 points, 76 shots on net and a minus-16 rating over 42 appearances. Hall maintains a little upside with a power-play role, but he has earned just three of his points in that situation this season.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Goals in consecutive outings
Donato scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
Donato has a tally in back-to-back contests. The 28-year-old continues to fill a versatile role, moving all around the lineup for the Blackhawks without suffering too much of a drop-off in any spot. He's up to 13 goals, 24 points, 101 shots on net, 74 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 41 appearances this season. Donato is on pace to easily surpass his career high of 31 points from the 2021-22 campaign.

Blackhawks' Nick Foligno: Two-point effort against Oilers
Foligno produced a goal and an assist with a game-high seven hits, four shots on net and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Edmonton.
The 37-year-old winger has stayed healthy so far in 2024-25, and as a result, Foligno is on pace for 200-plus hits for the first time since 2019-20, racking up 117 in 42 appearances. The rest of his numbers are much less impressive, however -- he's managed 11 goals, 19 points, 60 shots, 22 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating despite having a consistent role in the top six for Chicago at even strength.

Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Two points in Saturday's loss
Teravainen scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
Both points came in the first period as Chicago jumped out to an early 2-0 lead that then slipped away. Teravainen has produced back-to-back multi-point performances, and over his last 13 contests, the streaky winger has erupted for four goals and 17 points with a plus-6 rating -- a surprising showing for a player with a minus-9 rating on the season.

Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Lead slips away Saturday
Soderblom made 30 saves in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
Chicago took a 3-1 lead midway through the second period, but Soderblom couldn't make it stick, with Zach Hyman banging home a rebound on the power play midway through the third to complete the comeback for Edmonton. Soderblom has only one win in his last six outings, going 1-4-0 with a 3.93 GAA and .886 save percentage, but with Petr Mrazek also struggling since his return from a groin strain, the duo will likely remain in a timeshare for now.

Blackhawks' Connor Murphy: Not ready to return
Murphy (groin) will remain unavailable for "a bit," coach Anders Sorensen told Scott Powers of The Athletic on Saturday. He was also placed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
Murphy will miss his fifth straight game against Edmonton on Saturday. Although he can be activated whenever healthy, the Blackhawks probably wouldn't moved him to IR if he was close to returning. Murphy has a goal, 13 points, 38 PIM, 70 hits and 93 blocks in 38 outings in 2024-25. When Murphy is healthy, Louis Crevier might end up in the press box.

Blackhawks' Craig Smith: Still day-to-day
Smith (back) is day-to-day and won't play versus Edmonton on Saturday, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.
Smith will miss his second straight game. He has registered six goals, 11 points and 62 shots on net in 30 appearances this season. Lukas Reichel will replace Philipp Kurashev in Saturday's lineup.

Blackhawks' Alec Martinez: Set to play Saturday
Martinez (neck) will be activated off injured reserve and play Saturday against Edmonton, according to Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.
Martinez hasn't been in the lineup since Dec. 7. He has a goal and four points in 15 outings in 2024-25. Wyatt Kaiser will be a healthy scratch versus the Oilers to accommodate Martinez's return.

Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Tending twine Saturday
Soderblom will patrol the home crease versus Edmonton on Saturday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Soderblom surrendered six goals on 34 shots in a 6-2 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. He has a 6-10-1 record with a 2.92 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 18 appearances this season. Edmonton sits eighth in the league with 3.29 goals per game in 2024-25.

Blackhawks' Nolan Allan: Contributes helper in loss
Allan provided an assist, three hits and three blocked shots in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings.
Allan ended an eight-game point drought when he set up the first of Teuvo Teravainen's two goals in the third period. The 21-year-old Allan continues to stick in the lineup, but he's been limited to the third pairing. He has seven points, 12 shots on net, 14 PIM, 45 hits, 31 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating across 35 outings, which isn't enough production in any area to be helpful in most fantasy formats.

Blackhawks' Colton Dach: Adds helper Friday
Dach notched an assist and three hits in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings.
Dach has a helper in each of the last two games after opening his NHL career with two scoreless efforts. The 22-year-old continues to play on the third line at even strength, and in an offense as thin as Chicago's, there's no guarantee he'll be able to sustain decent scoring numbers. Dach has contributed eight shots on net, 10 hits and a minus-1 rating through four outings. Fantasy managers in redraft formats can afford to wait and see if he performs well over a larger sample.

Blackhawks' Ilya Mikheyev: Garners assist in loss
Mikheyev posted an assist in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings.
Mikheyev has a goal and an assist over his last two games after going six contests without a point. A recent move to the top line is paying off for now, but the Blackhawks have not hesitated to rotate wingers up and down the lineup. Mikheyev has 14 points, 65 shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-5 rating through 40 outings overall, and he'll have some streaming appeal in fantasy as long as his even-strength minutes are alongside Connor Bedard.

Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Point streak up to nine games
Bedard recorded an assist and four PIM in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Wings.
Bedard set up a Ryan Donato tally in the first period. The 19-year-old Bedard extended his point streak to nine games, and he's earned four goals and eight assists in that span. He's in a groove, which is all the more impressive given how inconsistent the Blackhawks' offense can be as a whole. For the season, he has 38 points, 101 shots on net, 20 PIM and a minus-16 rating through 42 appearances.
