Stars' Colin Blackwell: Contributes assist Sunday
Blackwell recorded a power-play assist and three hits in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Blackwell ended an eight-game point drought with his helper on Evgenii Dadonov's third-period goal. Playing in a bottom-six role often keeps Blackwell away from consistent scoring contributions. Overall, he has nine points, 41 shots on net, 50 hits and a plus-1 rating over 37 appearances this season. Despite the lack of offense, Blackwell is likely to remain in the lineup on a regular basis as a veteran forward.

Stars' Logan Stankoven: Helps out on power play
Stankoven provided a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Stankoven is warming up a little with two assists over his last three contests. The 21-year-old has had no luck with finishing lately -- he's on a 25-game goal drought and has come up empty on 65 shots in that span while adding just six helpers. The talented rookie has 20 points, 111 shots on net, 25 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 40 appearances. He'll likely remain in a third-line role, as the Stars have found some success with a more veteran top six in recent weeks.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Garners helper in loss
Hintz notched an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Hintz set up Jason Robertson for the opening goal just 4:31 into the game. Playmaking has been hard to come by for Hintz this year -- since the start of December, he has 10 goals and three assists over 20 outings. Overall, the center is at 19 goals, eight helpers, 98 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 41 appearances in his usual top-line role. He's slightly off the pace for a 40-goal season but could get there if he has a hot stretch or two in the second half.

Stars' Jason Robertson: Opens scoring in loss
Robertson scored a goal on four shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Robertson opened the scoring just 4:31 into the game. The Senators replied with a pair of goals early in the second period and held the lead from there. Over his last eight contests, Robertson has four goals, eight assists and 23 shots on net. The 25-year-old looks to be getting back on track after a slow start and now has 11 tallies, 35 points, 106 shots and a plus-3 rating through 42 outings overall.

Stars' Evgenii Dadonov: Earns two points in loss
Dadonov scored a power-play goal and added an assist in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Dadonov has four multi-point efforts over his last nine games. His recent success has been a product of chemistry on the top line with Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz, as all three forwards have turned things around following slow starts. Dadonov is up to 12 goals, 10 helpers, four power-play points, 73 shots on net and a plus-12 rating over 42 appearances this season.

Stars' Casey DeSmith: Surrenders three goals in loss
DeSmith allowed three goals on 28 shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
Ottawa scored twice in a span of 39 seconds in the second period and had no trouble protecting the lead from that point on. This loss ended DeSmith's run of winning four straight decisions, as well as his five-game streak of allowing two or fewer goals. The 33-year-old netminder is down to 6-5-0 with a 2.32 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 13 outings this season. Jake Oettinger will likely be back between the pipes for Tuesday's road-trip finale in Toronto. The Stars have a back-to-back next weekend -- at Colorado on Saturday and at home versus the Red Wings on Sunday -- so DeSmith shouldn't have to wait long for his next start.

Stars' Casey DeSmith: Defending crease Sunday
DeSmith will guard the road net versus Ottawa on Sunday, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
DeSmith will get the second half of Dallas' back-to-back after Jake Oettinger played in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over Montreal. The 33-year-old DeSmith has won his last four starts, stopping 108 of 114 shots. He has a 6-4-0 record with one shutout, a 2.24 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 12 appearances this season. Ottawa sits 22nd in the league with 2.90 goals per game in 2024-25 and earned a 5-0 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Logs helper in win
Bourque had an assist, one shot, three blocks and two PIM in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over Montreal.
Bourque pounced on a loose puck and hit Jamie Benn in stride to set up Dallas' lone score in regulation. It was the third straight game with a point for Bourque, who has three goals and seven assists over 36 outings.

Stars' Jamie Benn: Quick response in win
Benn scored a goal on two shots and logged two hits in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over the Canadiens.
It took Benn 100 seconds to respond to Montreal going up 1-0 in the second period. His snipe from the left faceoff circle beat Sam Montembeault to the stick side. The 35-year-old forward has done a lot of sniping of late; Benn has six tallies in the last nine outings and points in all five games since ringing in the New Year.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Wins fifth straight
Oettinger stopped 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 shootout win over Montreal.
Oettinger and Sam Montembeault engaged in an old-fashioned goalie duel at Bell Centre. The Stars' goalie was beaten by Patrik Laine in the second period while Montreal was up two skaters, but that was it. The win was the fifth straight for Oettinger, who improved to 21-9-1 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage over 31 starts. Dallas next heads to Ottawa on Sunday for the second of a back-to-back set.

Stars' Matej Blumel: Recalled from AHL
Blumel was called up from AHL Texas on Saturday.
Blumel played one game at the start of the season with Dallas, accumulating two shots on goal with one hit in 8:00 of action against Edmonton on Oct. 19. He has been productive in the AHL, generating 18 goals and 14 assists in 32 games to lead the team in scoring. Blumel could see action as a bottom-six forward Saturday when the Stars face Montreal.

Stars' Matt Dumba: First point since return
Dumba logged an assist, two hits, four PIM and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.
The helper was Dumba's first point in four games since he missed eight contests due to an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old defenseman isn't a lock for the lineup either -- he sat out Tuesday's game versus the Rangers and will likely have to compete with Brendan Smith for the last spot in the lineup. Dumba has just two assists with 20 shots on net, 20 blocked shots, 35 hits and 23 PIM over 23 appearances this season, so he can be passed over in fantasy.

Stars' Logan Stankoven: Registers assist Thursday
Stankoven provided an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.
Stankoven has been limited to four assists over 17 contests since the start of December. The 21-year-old has somewhat gotten lost in the shuffle, as the Stars' top six started to click in January with Stankoven filling a third-line role. He has 19 points, 103 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-1 rating over 38 appearances. It's part of the price of being a rookie on a contending team -- Stankoven will play in whatever spot most benefits the team's results even if it's not ideal for his individual production.

Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Strikes early in win
Bourque scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.
Bourque opened the scoring at 1:45 of the first period. He's picked up a goal and an assist over his last two games -- it's the first time he's gotten on the scoresheet in consecutive contests at the NHL level. The 23-year-old rookie has three goals, six helpers, 37 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating through 35 appearances.
