Hutson logged three assists, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.
Hutson has seven helpers over his last six games, though he hasn't scored a goal in that span. One of his assists Saturday came on the power play. The 21-year-old blueliner has completely avoided a sophomore slump, totaling eight goals, 42 assists, 14 power-play points, 82 blocked shots, 80 shots on net and a plus-16 rating over 49 contests in his second NHL campaign.

Canadiens' Alexandre Carrier: Finds twine Saturday
Carrier scored a goal and blocked four shots in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.
Carrier provided a clutch goal, tying the game with 3:19 left in the third period. The 29-year-old defenseman has three goals and three assists over his last eight outings. He won't keep up that scoring pace, but he is an important part of the Canadiens' defensive structure as the team's best shutdown blueliner. For the season, Carrier has contributed four goals, 11 assists, 35 shots on net, 113 blocked shots, 21 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 49 appearances.

Canadiens' Josh Anderson: Goal, assist in overtime win
Anderson scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, logged two hits, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.
Anderson did a little of everything in this high-scoring game. He has three points over three contests since he returned from an upper-body injury. The veteran winger is at 11 goals, five assists, 56 shots on net, 40 PIM, 79 hits and 29 blocked shots over 43 appearances this season, mainly in a third-line role.

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Power-play success continues in win
Suzuki dished out two assists, put three shots on net and recorded two hits in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over Ottawa.
Both of Suzuki's helpers Saturday came on separate power plays in the first period. He's excelled on the power play all season long with 27 points at a man advantage, which currently places him in a tie for third in the league. Overall, the 26-year-old center is up to 39 assists, 54 points, 106 shots on goal, 37 hits and 40 blocks through 49 games this season. His two-way play has shown up on the stat sheet this season, as he ranks 20th in blocks among forwards in addition to his strong numbers offensively. He is well above the necessary pace to record his third consecutive season above 75 points, making him a staple for fantasy lineups in any league format.

Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: Scores pair of goals
Slafkovsky scored two goals, placed two shots on net, recorded two blocks and dished out four hits in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.
Slafkovsky scored on a power play less than three minutes into regulation before he later cut Montreal's deficit in half with his second goal of the night. He is up to 19 goals, 40 points, 95 shots on net, 75 hits and 49 blocks across 49 games this season. Not only has the 21-year-old winger made a strong impact offensively with 20 points over his last 15 games, but he has excelled without the puck as well. His 49 blocks are tied for ninth among NHL forwards with his linemate Oliver Kapanen. Slafkovsky is on pace to easily surpass last season's career high of 51 points. His all-around play warrants him strong fantasy value for the foreseeable future.

Canadiens' Cole Caufield: GWG, trio of points Saturday
Caufield scored two goals, dished out an assist and put three shots on net in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over Ottawa.
After tallying a goal and an assist in the opening period, Caufield played the hero in overtime when he scored the game-winning goal after 33 seconds. The 25-year-old winger is up to 24 goals, 24 assists, 143 shots on net and 35 hits through 49 games this season. After an inconsistent stretch of play to open the calendar year, Caufield has posted back-to-back multi-point games. The young winger has flashed his elite skill at times this season and ranks among the top 30 skaters in points. He's on pace to surpass last season's career-high 70 regular-season points.

Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Hangs on for OT win
Montembeault stopped 29 of 34 shots on goal in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Senators.
Despite allowing four goals in the second period, Montembeault got enough offensive support to snag the OT win. Following Saturday's victory, he holds a 9-6-2 record with a 3.44 GAA and an .873 save percentage through 20 appearances this season. While his GAA is inflated by inconsistent play in the early stages of the season, the 29-year-old goalie has a 4-0-1 record with a 2.90 GAA and a .906 save percentage in his last five starts. Montembeault's quality of play is trending back up, giving him decent streaming value across most fantasy formats for the time being. His next chance to take the ice is Tuesday against the Wild.

Evans (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Despite being described as a game-time decision for Saturday's clash against Ottawa, Evans appears ready to return to the lineup. He hasn't played since Dec. 20 due to the injury. Evan is likely to serve in a middle-six capacity, and his return might result in Sammy Blais being a healthy scratch versus the Senators.

Evans has missed the last 13 games after getting hurt Dec. 20 versus Pittsburgh. Evans has five goals, five assists and 44 hits in 34 contests this season. He will need to come off injured reserve to return to the lineup.

The Habs have been carrying three goalies for a while, so it's not a huge surprise they decided to return Fowler to the minors. Still, his stint with the Rocket could be short-lived. Assuming he plays for the minor-league club against AHL Manitoba on Friday or Saturday, he could be recalled ahead of Tuesday's clash with Minnesota.

Hutson notched two power-play assists, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres.
Hutson's first helper was the 100th of his career, a milestone that took him just 132 games to reach. The defenseman continues to be big on offense in January with three goals and six assists over nine games this month. For the season, Hutson is at eight goals, 47 points (13 on the power play), 78 shots on net, 79 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating through 48 appearances.

Canadiens' Jacob Fowler: Named to AHL All-Star Game
Fowler made 22 saves Thursday in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo.
Fowler is 1-3-1 n his last five games with 14 goals allowed. Overall, he's 4-4-2 with a 2.62 GAA and .902 save percentage. Earlier Thursday, Fowler was named to the AHL All-Star Game. His last game with the Rocket dates back to Dec. 6. That's an incredible feat considering he's been in the NHL for five weeks. And interestingly enough, Fowler will be able to attend the AHL All-Star Classic on Feb. 10 and 11 because it's happening during the Olympic break.

Canadiens' Ivan Demidov: NHL's top rookie scorer
Demidov scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo.
Demidov's goal came on a two-man advantage in the first period. It was his first goal in 10 games (seven assists). He remains the top rookie scorer in the NHL with 40 points. Demidov is the top rookie playmaker (29 assists), and he's tied with the Bruins' Fraser Minten for fourth in goals (11).

Canadiens' Cole Caufield: Two-point night in loss
Caufield had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres. He fired five shots.
Caufeld has 22 goals and 45 points (140 shots) in 48 games this season. But 12 of those goals (six assists) came in his first 15 games. That means that the sniper has just 10 goals in the next 33 games, and he hasn't had a multi-goal game since Nov. 8. At some point, Caufield is bound to explode with goals, although 33 games is a long time.

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Among league's best power-play men
Suzuki had a goal and an assist in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo on Thursday.
Both points came on the power play, a place where he has tallied 25 of his 52 points, including nine goals. Suzuki excels at both ends of the ice, wears the C and puts up a lot of points. That makes him regular candidate for the Selke Trophy. Suzuki is in a three-way tie with Wyatt Johnston of the Stars and Kirill Kaprizov of the Wild for 13th overall in league scoring with 52 points (48 games). But more impressively, he's fourth overall in the NHL in power-play production with 25 points behind Connor McDavid (36), Leon Draisaitl (31) and Mikko Rantanen (26).
