Blues' Dylan Holloway: Extends assist streak in defeat
Holloway notched an even-strength helper and doled out four hits Thursday in a 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
Holloway extended his assist streak to four games in the loss, but the 23-year-old failed to record a shot on goal Thursday for the first time since Nov. 19. The 2020 first-round selection has only one marker through 10 outings in January, but he's helped offset the lack of goal scoring with 10 assists in the new year. Holloway has found success in an increased role in his first season with the Blues -- his 16:23 of average ice time this season is 5:01 more than the 11:22 he received with Edmonton in 2023-24. The left-shot center ranks second on the Blues in scoring with 15 goals and 37 points through 49 appearances in 2024-25.

Blues' Justin Faulk: Lends helper in loss
Faulk registered an even-strength assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
Faulk logged the secondary helper on Robert Thomas' 12th goal of the campaign in the third period. The 32-year-old Faulk has chipped in five assists through eight games in January, but he's been held without a marker since Dec. 31. It'll be worth monitoring how head coach Jim Montgomery deploys his power-play units going forward -- Faulk and Cam Fowler are both capable of quarterbacking the top group, but NHL clubs typically don't utilize two blueliners with the man advantage. For the season, Faulk is up to two goals, 18 points, 16 PIM, 74 shots on net and a minus-11 rating while averaging 22:49 of ice time through 45 appearances.

Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Lights lamp Thursday
Kyrou scored his 21st goal of the campaign Thursday in a 4-2 loss to Las Vegas.
Kyrou picked up a drop pass from Dylan Holloway and ripped one past Ilya Samsonov from the right circle to cut Vegas' lead to 2-1 at 10:22 of the opening frame. Kyrou has two goals and two helpers over his last four games, and he's contributed 10 points (five goals, five assists) in as many games in the new year. The right-shot winger is at 21 goals, 42 points and a plus-12 rating while occupying his usual top-line role in addition to a spot on the top power-play unit.

Blues' Robert Thomas: Nets goal in defeat
Thomas found the back of the net on two shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
Thomas cut Vegas' lead to 3-2 late in the third period, but the Blues weren't able to pull off the comeback in the home-and-home set with Vegas. The 25-year-old's tally was his first in six games. The Ontario native is up to 12 goals, 24 helpers and a plus-3 rating through 37 appearances this season. He's producing at just under a point-per-game pace, but he only has one power-play goal in 2024-25 -- he had eight over 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24.

Blues' Joel Hofer: Can't fend off Vegas
Hofer allowed three goals on 30 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The fourth marker was an empty-netter.
The Blues were forced to chase the game early due to Mark Stone scoring after a Cam Fowler turnover just 19 seconds into the contest. Hofer would allow one more goal at even strength and one on the power play en route to his first loss since Jan. 4. Jordan Binnington has made twice as many starts as Hofer this season, but the latter's numbers have been marginally better, so it'll be interesting to see how head coach Jim Montgomery handles his goaltenders down the stretch. Hofer is sporting a 10-5-1 record, .906 save percentge and 2.77 GAA through 17 appearances in 2024-25.

Hofer will patrol the home crease versus Vegas on Thursday, according to Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Hofer has won his last two starts, allowing three goals on 52 shots in victories over Anaheim and Calgary. The wins pushed Hofer's record to 10-4-1, with a 2.74 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 16 appearances this season. Vegas is generating 3.38 goals per game, fourth in the NHL in 2024-25.

Blues' Philip Broberg: Avoids serious injury
Broberg (undisclosed) will be in the lineup against the Golden Knights on Thursday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports.
Broberg suffered an injury at Wednesday's practice session but appears to be no worse for the wear. With the blueliner suiting up versus Vegas, he will look to end an 11-game goal drought during which he recorded just two helpers to go with 18 shots, 10 blocks and five hits.

Blues' Philip Broberg: Being evaluated for injury
Broberg is being evaluated by the Blues' medical team after leaving Wednesday's practice session early, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Broberg is currently stuck in a 10-game goal drought during which he registered two assists, 17 shots and eight blocks while averaging 19:36 of ice time. Despite his recent slump, the 23-year-old blueliner has already set new personal bests in goals (three), assists (12) and shots (47). If Broberg does miss any time, Scott Perunovich figures to step into the lineup.

Blues' Philip Broberg: Nabs helper Monday
Broberg notched an assist in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Broberg ended an eight-game point drought when he set up a Nathan Walker tally in the first period. The 23-year-old Broberg hasn't found much success lately, as the Blues' addition of Cam Fowler has taken Broberg out of the power-play mix. Overall, Broberg has 15 points, 47 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 35 appearances.

Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Plucks apple Monday
Buchnevich registered a power-play assist in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Buchnevich snapped a four-game point drought with the helper. That slump has seen him at least temporarily booted from the top line -- he's been on the third line over the last couple of contests. The 29-year-old has 30 points, 86 shots on net, 31 hits and a plus-1 rating over 46 appearances. Buchnevich hasn't played up to his full potential this year, but a 60-point campaign is still possible if he goes on an extended hot streak.

Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Slings two assists
Kyrou notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Kyrou has three multi-point efforts and a total of four goals and five assists over nine outings in January. The 26-year-old winger is up to 20 goals, 21 helpers, 11 power-play points, 140 shots on net and a plus-11 rating over 48 appearances. Kyrou's a virtual lock for top-six minutes and time on the first power-play unit, and his offense remains steady, though he won't add much non-scoring production.

Blues' Nathan Walker: Gets back in goal column
Walker scored a goal on three shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Walker ended a seven-game point drought with his first-period tally Monday. The 30-year-old forward has held a pretty steady role on the Blues' fourth line, but he was scratched last Tuesday versus the Flames. Walker is at nine points, 38 shots on net, 145 hits, 29 PIM and 26 blocked shots through 41 appearances, a bit behind the pace that saw him put up 13 points in 45 appearances in 2023-24.

Blues' Cam Fowler: Tallies on power play
Fowler scored a power-play goal in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Fowler's tally put the Blues ahead 4-2 late in the second period. The Golden Knights bounced back in the third, but the Blues prevailed in the end. Fowler's not slowing down in January, earning six points over his last nine outings. He's up to 17 points, 45 shots on net, 63 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 35 appearances between St. Louis and Anaheim this season, though 13 of those points have come in 18 games with the Blues.

Blues' Jake Neighbours: Nets goal Monday
Neighbours scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Neighbours has scored in back-to-back games and has three goals and four assists over his last 11 outings. The 22-year-old winger continues to log top-six minutes and power-play time, which puts him in a position to succeed. He's at 13 goals, 24 points, 85 shots on net, 114 hits, 30 PIM and 36 blocked shots through 48 appearances overall.

Blues' Brayden Schenn: Stays warm with goal
Schenn scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Schenn has five goals and four assists over nine outings in January, including five points during a four-game streak. The 33-year-old center has found more consistency this month, and coupled with his steady physical play, he's a strong all-around forward in fantasy. Schenn has 11 goals, 29 points, 93 shots on net, 114 hits, 37 PIM and 32 blocked shots over 48 appearances.

Blues' Jordan Binnington: Secures victory over Knights
Binnington picked up the 5-4 win over Vegas on Monday while still giving up four goals on 32 shots.
Binnington has now conceded four or more goals in four of his last eight outings while posting a 4-4-0 record, 2.79 GAA and one shutout. The fact that his GAA is still below three over the stretch speaks to his wildly inconsistent recent run of form. Still, the 31-year-old netminder remains the preferred option between the pipes in St. Louis ahead of Joel Hofer.

Blues' Jordan Binnington: Defending road crease in Vegas
Binnington will start Monday's road game against the Golden Knights, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Binnington posted a shutout against the Senators on Jan. 3 but has struggled over four outings since then, going 1-3-0 with a 3.11 GAA and .897 save percentage. He'll face a tough test in Monday's road start, as the Golden Knights rank fourth in the league with 3.37 goals per game.
