Hockey Club's Michael Carcone: Losing playing time in January
Carcone has been scratched for seven of the last nine games after sitting out Thursday's 4-0 win over the Wild.
Carcone played regularly in November and December. The 28-year-old was moderately productive, but he's since been replaced by Liam O'Brien on the fourth line. Carcone is at nine points, 50 shots on net, 25 hits, 23 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 30 appearances this season, so most fantasy managers won't need to track his playing time.

Hockey Club's Nick DeSimone: Records two assists
DeSimone provided two assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Wild.
DeSimone has three assists over five games with Utah. He's received a larger opportunity than he did in New Jersey, though DeSimone could find himself back in the press box once Mikhail Sergachev (upper body) is able to return. For the season, DeSimone has five points, 14 shots on net, 18 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 16 appearances while often seeing third-pairing minutes.

Hockey Club's Connor Ingram: Between pipes against Jets
Ingram will tend the twine on the road versus Winnipeg on Friday, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Ingram has secured victories in each of his previous two outings while posting a 2.00 GAA and .918 save percentage. Overall, the netminder has posted an 8-5-3 record in his 16 outings. At this point, Ingram is firmly entrenched behind Karel Vejmelka as the No. 2 option in Utah.

Hockey Club's Lawson Crouse: Ends drought with goal
Crouse scored a goal in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Wild.
Crouse found the back of the net for the first time since Jan. 2, when he recorded two goals in a 5-3 win over the Flames, and snapped a seven-game pointless skid with this second-period tally. This was Crouse's seventh goal of the season, but his overall numbers have been subpar compared to recent years, as he had reached the 20-goal mark in each of his previous three campaigns -- something that doesn't look likely for 2024-25.

Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Scores power-play goal
Keller recorded a power-play goal in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Wild.
Keller doubled Utah's lead in the latter stages of the first period with a wrister following set-ups from Matias Maccelli and Nick Schmaltz. This goal might have been the only point Keller notched in this game, but it extended his goalscoring run to three games -- and his point streak to five contests. Over that five-game stretch, Keller has notched 10 points (three goals, seven assists), seven shots on goal, one hit and four blocked shots.

Hockey Club's Barrett Hayton: Pots two goals Thursday
Hayton scored two goals and took four shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Wild.
Hayton broke the deadlock for Utah just 1:46 into the game, and he'd close out the scoring with a backhander 1:48 into the third period. The 24-year-old has 11 goals on the season, with four of them coming in the current month, but he's also going through a productive stretch. He's notched three multi-point efforts over his last four appearances, tallying seven points (three goals, four assists) 11 shots and a plus-2 rating in that span.

Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: First shutout of season
Vejmelka recorded a 26-save shutout in Thursday's 4-0 win over Minnesota.
This was technically Vejmelka's second personal shutout of the season, as the previous one was a 4-0 loss to Ottawa in which he stopped the 14 shots he faced after coming in as relief after Connor Ingram got the hook, thereby negating an actual shutout in the record books. The 28-year-old has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.59 GAA and a .901 save percentage across seven appearances in January.

Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Remains unavailable Thursday
Sergachev (upper body) will not be an option against the Wild on Thursday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Sergachev will be on the shelf for his third straight game due to his upper-body issue. Considering the team is heading into a back-to-back, the 26-year-old defenseman probably shouldn't be expected to suit up versus the Jets on Friday either. Once Sergachev does return to action, he figures to jump back into his role running the No. 1 power-play unit for Utah.

Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Starting against Minnesota
Vejmelka will be between the road pipes against the Wild on Thursday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Vejmelka didn't appear in either of Utah's last two games, but he'll return to the crease Thursday and will attempt to turn things around after taking losses in four of his last five outings. Across those five starts, he went 1-3-1 with a 3.02 GAA and .885 save percentage.

Hockey Club's Kevin Stenlund: Finds helper in Monday's win
Stenlund logged an assist and won 13 of 19 faceoffs in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Stenlund ended a seven-game point drought with the helper. The 28-year-old had a strong December but has otherwise produced offense in line with what's expected of a fourth-liner. His biggest contribution has come at the faceoff dot, where he's won a career-best 59.7 percent of draws, ranking sixth among players with at least 200 faceoffs taken. He's added 12 points, 57 shots on net, 36 blocked shots, 31 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-11 rating over 46 outings.

Hockey Club's Josh Doan: Earns first multi-point effort
Doan notched a pair of assists and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
This was Doan's first multi-point effort of 2024-25. The 23-year-old winger set up goals by linemates Barrett Hayton and Matias Maccelli in the third period as Utah ran away with the win. Doan is up to five points through 15 appearances at the NHL level this season, including three points over six contests since he was recalled from AHL Tucson earlier in January.

Hockey Club's Nick Schmaltz: Distributes two helpers
Schmaltz logged two assists and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Schmaltz set up the first and last goals of the contest. The 28-year-old is riding a six-game point streak, earning three goals and five assists in that span. Overall, he continues to be a steady playmaker on Utah's top line with nine goals, 28 helpers, 12 power-play points and 101 shots on net through 46 appearances.

Hockey Club's Olli Maatta: Gets first goal of season
Maatta scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Maatta broke a scoreless deadlock at 16:00 of the second period when his screened shot got through cleanly to surprise Connor Hellebuyck. The goal was Maatta's first of the season, and he's added three assists over nine outings in January. Overall, the 30-year-old blueliner has nine points, 40 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 43 appearances between Utah and Detroit.

Hockey Club's Matias Maccelli: Scores, takes three shots Monday
Maccelli had a goal and took three shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Maccelli found the back of the net in the third period and tallied his eighth goal of the campaign. The 24-year-old winger is far from being the most productive player on the Utah roster, but he's going through a prolific stretch with five goals and six points over his last eight contests.

Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Keeps point streak alive Monday
Cooley scored a goal, took three shots and recorded two hits in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Cooley has found the back of the net in four games in a row and has recorded at least one point in five straight, as well as in 15 of his last 18 appearances dating back to Dec. 12. With those numbers, it's not a surprise to see the 20-year-old as one of Utah's most reliable fantasy options across every format. He's notched 21 points over his last 20 games, with nine goals and 12 assists in that span.

Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Keeps impressive stretch alive
Keller recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Keller posted his fourth straight game with at least one point, and he's notched multi-point efforts three times over that stretch, so there's no doubt he's going through a very productive span. He's also cracked the scoresheet seven times and tallied 13 points (three goals, 10 helpers) in nine January outings, bringing him up to 16 goals and 50 points in 45 appearances this season.

Hockey Club's Barrett Hayton: Records three points Monday
Hayton recorded a goal and two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.
Hayton posted three points in a single game for the first time this season, and the 24-year-old playmaker is going through a solid stretch with six points across his last six appearances (two goals, four helpers). Hayton might have a shot at reaching his personal-best mark of 43 points, established in the 2022-23 campaign, if he has a strong second half of the regular season.
